MOD! My dad just lost his job and i'm freaking out. Now we need to cut back on stuff and my mom needs to work harder. I know my dad has anger management, that might be the reason why. Now he is just sitting around and not even finding a new job. What is a calm way to react on this?




Hey chica!

Sorry to hear about your situation. The best thing you can do is be supportive for your parents. Try to help out around the house a little more, because they really need your help! Don't let it stress you out. Family is supposed to be there for one another during hard times, so don't forget to lean on one another!

im a freshman and i got invited to my first actual party! but my mom wants to call the parents and see whats going on and stuff. to me shes treating my like im 9. and its getting me really upset!!!! idk what to doo!!! HELP!

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD I'm moving and I'm not sure how I want to decorate my new room. I was thinking about Zebra print and a blueish-gray color but I'm probaly not going to change the style of my room so I need to decorate it with something that I'll love tomorrow and in 5 years. The color of my room now is a light pink with green and this cool wallpaper. Help me to find out what I should decorate my new room!! Thanks a bunch!!

Hey girl, I'd go for a painted wall in general instead of wall paper: it's more flexible if you change your bed set. As for decorations, I am a big fan of Chinese lanterns: they're inexpensive, modern and totally versatile. From there, your zebra print is fine!

My BFF and I got into a really big fight on Friday, and I've been trying to apologize forever, and my Mom and my Sister and my BFF even tried talking to her, but she wont accept it! My Mom said let her decide what to do. What should I do? Please help!

Hey Catherine,

It's true - ya gotta give her time to calm down and cool off before you'll have any chance of talking to her. I know it'll be hard, but give her a few more days to think it through. Then if she's still not talking to you, sometime this week give her a note saying exactly how you feel - that you're sorry for doing what you did and that you really value her as a friend, so you hope you can move past it. Make sure she knows how much she means to you! These things usually blow over in time - you just gotta wait it out <3

Hey girly, I'm so, so sorry to hear about your uncle. I wish I could give you a huge hug right now! I promise, with time, it will get better. Just make sure to keep yourself busy. Band together with your family and lean on your friends for support. Your family will get through this, I promise. It'll be tough, but you'll get through it.

I haven't been diagnosed with clinical depression but i am always depressed. I never want to do anything. I have even attempted suicide. My mom freaked out when i told her and my dad thought i just made it up. What am i supposed to do? I don't want to go to a doctor and say, "Yeah so im always depressed. Oh and 1 time i attempted suicide. What's wrong with me?" That's just weird. Help!!

MOD MOD MOD Hey! Recently my cousin and one of my best friends has been diagnosed with clinical depression and has been having really bad anxiety attacks putting her in and out of the hospital. She lives in a different state than me and I am not allowed to talk with her because she is in and out of the hospital and in different retreat centers. It's really tough for me because I dont know what is going on with her. Even if I could talk to her what do I say?

 

 

Hey chica! Maybe, you could talk to your aunt or uncle each week to see how she's doing? And when you do finally talk with her, I'd make her laugh! She's probably really stressed, so tell her a funny story, or reminisce about something fun that you guys did together. Make some plans for the future, when she gets out and is better Smile

MOD MOD MOD MOD HiSmile this is a weird question but how to i tell my mom that i want to wear non-walmart bras?? All the girls at my school wear aerie and pink but I dont. I dont even know what to say to her! Im not going to write a letter or something. I just want better quality stuff. My mom always buys me the wrong size and i only have 1 bra that fits me. How do i tell her? Aerie is also in the mall. Do i ask her in the mall? Im shyySmile haha thank youLaughing

 

 

Hey girly! Maybe, you could ask your mom to take you shopping for some new bras. Let her know that yours don't fit, and ask her if you could try some stores are the mall. Be honest with her about how you feel.
