Hey! The best thing to do in order to break through is to believe in yourself, as Carol said take it slowly but for you to progress try singing to yourself, getting louder around the house, hold mini performance for a friend or relative and sure enough you'll conquer your fear! If that doesn't work try some tips whilst singing on stage: - Imagine everyone is naked - Like your mum says; take a deep breath, close your eyes imagine that nobody is listening - Be confident and let any feedback help you progress, not not only this but talk to others about it and don't be shy Hope this helps and remember - if you have a talent, let it shine!! Good luck!

Haha I had the same type of problem...Well I guess I still do sorta but what helped me was I have to sing kinda stupid with a weird voice in front of my family just as like I'm walking by or something....Then Ill just start singing my real voice then I'm not that shy. But I'm still working on it.

I feel the exact same way! I cant sing in front of alot of people. i mean maybe some friends and family but not a whole bunch of people. Also, i cant sing alone! Most of the time. I really need to be more open though because i am going into the high school choir next year and i might be asked to sing a solo so yeah. I am told i have an AMAZING voice though!

I'm not that great of a singer, haha. But if I was, I would definitely be too shy to perform! D:
