Terrified of performing in public

I have a great singing voice, but I get scared whenever I have to sing in front of someone.

If you truly love to sing in public, then you can get over this fear. Practice in front of family members and close friends ;)

Please visit my Advice Queen page! I really like to give advice to peeps Smile just post a question and i will answer it on your profile as soon as i see it.

Hey! The best thing to do in order to break through is to believe in yourself, as Carol said take it slowly but for you to progress try singing to yourself, getting louder around the house, hold mini performance for a friend or relative and sure enough you'll conquer your fear! If that doesn't work try some tips whilst singing on stage:
- Imagine everyone is naked
- Like your mum says; take a deep breath, close your eyes
imagine that nobody is listening
- Be confident and let any feedback help you progress, not
not only this but talk to others about it and don't be
shy

Hope this helps and remember - if you have a talent, let it shine!! Good luck!

Haha I had the same type of problem...Well I guess I still do sorta but what helped me was I have to sing kinda stupid with a weird voice in front of my family just as like I'm walking by or something....Then Ill just start singing my real voice then I'm not that shy. But I'm still working on it.

MOD MOD MOD Recently, I got blamed for doing something to this girl from school that I didnt do. I think its cleared up now, but I'm scared I'm going to get more calls about what happened. My Dad said he'd handle it and I trust him, and my mom said the guy calling will get in trouble for calling me because I'm only 13. I think it's over, but I just cant seem to forget about it. My mom said that life goes on bust I cant help it! What should I do? Please help! Riley

Hey chica! I'd be sure to talk to your rents about your concerns, so that they know you're still scared about it. Also, maybe try talking to a counselor at school about your fears. I promise, with time, it'll get better. So, hang in there chica. Smile

Hey girl, wow. You need to first of all delete the temptation. Get rid of Skype. Do yourself a favor and block those sites so you can't get them. Then talk to a guidance counselor; be open, she'll keep the convo private. It'll help to have a partner helping you get through this. Hang in there!

MOD MOD MODD!!!!!!
last night the guy i like fiiinally asked me out (!) and we both knew today would be awkward at school and we didn't really talk about it face to face at all. we just went on as usual, not holding hands or anything (we're good friends), but the whole relationship thing was kinda just floating around in the air and we both knew it. now i'm not sure how to act around him and when to progress to the official "boyfriend/girlfriend" thing. today acting normal as usual seemed to be enough for both of us, but i'm just unsure about how to act about this. pleeease give me some tips about this relationship thing!!

Hey girlie! Relationships are different for everyone, so there's not formula for how a couple is supposed to act. Just do what comes naturally and whatever makes you happy. Sometimes, the best relationships form from friendships!

I feel the exact same way! I cant sing in front of alot of people. i mean maybe some friends and family but not a whole bunch of people. Also, i cant sing alone! Most of the time. I really need to be more open though because i am going into the high school choir next year and i might be asked to sing a solo so yeah. I am told i have an AMAZING voice though!

I'm not that great of a singer, haha. But if I was, I would definitely be too shy to perform! D:
