I wanna be...a racecar driver!

Shannon McIntosh never thought she would be making her living driving a racecar when her dad took her to her first race when she was four…

@strawberrysmiles actually the fuel used in race engines would absolutely ruin the family car, its racing fuel. Designed for racecars. And on the environment thing, NASCAR's fuel happens to be OK. It doesn't give off as many fumes as before. Auto racing is an American tradion. A sport, like football, basketball, or golf. And when you are at the track and you feel the vibrations of the roaring engines and smell the fuel and burnt rubber, it makes sense why we do it.

Good for her. I would love it if she won. I never watch that kind of thing, plus I never have time. I guess if my mom and dad watched I would but I am not into racing.
I can see why guys would like her because she is very pretty. So she must get a lot of attention from that. Casey L.

Does a weird guy like you?
Does a guy always stalk you?
Does a weird guy always have to be talking to you?

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then the Crazy Boy club is for you! We would talk about our experiences with crazy boys and we would all help each other out with what to do when one likes us.

So, for the last couple days my best friend (Lets call her S) has been kinda ditching me to hang out with the popular kids. S talks to me in class and in the morning but not at lunch. So I've been eating alone for lunch for the last couple days. People will talk to me at lunch but most of the time the convo's are short. Today, this really nice girl (Lets call her D)who talks to me in class, saw me alone and went up to me right away. she hangs out where the popular kids hang so she took me with her friends. She always says I'm her best friend and today we even made up a handshake and she introduced me to her friends. My best friend saw me and was kinda shocked to see me. I'm shy but if i feel comfortable around people i talk a lot so i was talking. She also included me in everything her and her friends were doing. She really nice and i don't think she would ever fake being my friend. Do you think she was faking or she really thinks of me as a friend? Thanks!

Hey! I think she sounds genuine, you should giver her the benefit of the doubt Smile

i think its great that shes going for her dreams, especially considering that it is a path that is dominated by men.
however, i honestly see no point in racecar driving. it is a waste of time, money, and fuel that other people need in order to get to work and see family, not for the sole purpose of entertainment. and even more importantly to me, it is absolutely horrible for the environment! just think of all the emissions and pollution going into the atmosphere from racecar driving alone- thats a lot!
i dont mean to offend anybody. again, great for her for going for her dreams, but at the same time, i dont agree with it.

You go girl! We need more women racecar drivers! When I was littler, whenever a drag race was on my dad and I would sit on the couch and eat ice cream and watch. Good memories Smile
