The Declaration of Independence isn't at the Library of Congress...at least i don't think so. When I went there our tour guide told us that it was located at the National Archives because it's one of the charters of freedom along with the Bill of Rights and the constitution. We unfortunately never got to see them because every time we went the line was incredibly long! We waited 45 minutes and didn't move at all!

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD I am having a friend over today who i haven't had over in a while. I am scared that it will be awkward, even though shes really nice and we normally have fun together. What should we do? I have a pool, and we could play outside on scooters and stuff, but what else? BTW we are 13/14 yrs old.

@dance_sing_act -- it's a little much to ask them to represent every country's national holiday on their website. After you, there will be a kid in France complaining, then Venezuela... They try to respect every culture but they can't really be expected to name every country in their posts. But if you ask a MOD they can probably put in a good word to their bosses (: Just remember how hard they work to make sure they aren't offending anybody with their writing. XoXo!!!

@dance_sing_act - yeah i do think it would be great if they had things of Canada (because I love Canada especially Niagara Falls - well actually thats the only place i've been to there but still) but i mean its not like they are disrespecting canada. im sure there are readers in basically every country, but they really can't do things about every single country. they probably mainly do it where they're based - in the USA. and im sure there a Canada based magazines, and they don't say anything about 4th of July. So really it's mainly about where they're based... it's not like they said anything bad about it.

MOD!!!! My town has a burn law now, so we can't buy fireworks! OMG! But my family and I always set off fireworks, what can we do together that is fun?

No worries - you still have tons of fun ways to celebrate the 4th! Scout out public fireworks in your area and challenge your fam to see as many of them as possible. Have a BBQ and grill up all your faves, like hot dogs, hamburgers, and even some funky dishes like watermelon or apples (trust me, it's delish!). And celebrate on a smaller scale with sparklers, confetti poppers, and other party store-approved supplies. Remember that the town is just enforcing that rule to protect people who make mistakes with fireworks - but you can still have a fun, safe holiday without 'em!
