I have 2 questions
1) I listen to a lot of post-metal and screamo. My brother used to listen to it and my parents hate it with a passion! They think it's evil Tong I can't listen to disney forever! My parents don't know I listen to it. How can I listen to my music without being worried all the time?
2)I want to get my lip pierced for Christmas this year, but my mom has stated before that I can't get any piercings because she doesn't want me to look like a "wild child" How can I get her to let me get my lip pierced?

There's nothing wrong with listening to post-metal and screamo! I'd just tell your parents why you like it - do the lyrics apply to your life, or does the singer of your favorite band advocate for a charity you really like? As for your lip piercing, just know that any piercing you get is going to stay a part of your look for a while. If it's something you're really serious about, I'd go to a store that does piercings and learn all the information you can before actually getting anything pierced, and then I'd present the information to your parents. If you show them you're serious about the responsibilities of cleaning your piercing, they might be more likely to approve of it. Good luck!

One of my best friends used to live 30 mins away from me. Her brother was my brothers best friend, and our moms were best friends and our dads were friends. Well, now we are going to see them this weekend. We are going meet up at a nice hotel in the city. Now, we haven't seen each other since Christmas. Anyways, my cousin, who is visiting from out of state, is here. She's really really nice, but idk if my friend will be sad that she's there. (btw my cuz is our age). It's not like I'd leave either of them out... I love them both to death, and a barely get to see either of them! My cousin obviously knows that my BFF will be there, but idk if my friend knows... Should I just text her about it tonight, or should I just let her find out when we see them at the hotel?

Hi! My BFF and I like making restaurants. We are both aspiring chefs with dreams of owning a restaurant. We want to have practice (for example, we decorate one of our kitchens to make it look very nice, make menus, and have our families come over! Our families could chat while we make the food that they order!) But we never are able to plan it -- our parents are always either busy or just don't want to go. Even asking them in advance doesn't work, so we decided to make a new plan... but we don't know what! Maybe making brekfast and bringing it to my grandma's (and decorate her house) or bring it to her sister's camp! But we'd rather do it at one of our houses so it's just more planned... we really want to own a restaurant called EA when we r older, and we wanna practice... we just want to end school/college, and start on our dream restaurant! BTW plz dont say "go to a class or something"




Hey girl, I'd try just doing dinner for one of your families first or even having a bake sale with proceeds going to a charity so you two can work in the kitchen together. Your idea is cute but know having a faux-restaurant dinner with your families isn't the only way to get practice in. Think outside the box for an option that works more easily with your schedules for now!

MOD,MOD,MOD I have a this really good friend that I always hang out with at least 4 times a week. But the thing is she really cares about popularity and if she had to choose between me and them she would choose them even if they sometimes ditch her. I meen she is friends with them and all. So her birthday is coming up soon and she kept asking me what to do if to invite me and our other friend to the party with her popular friends and you can tell she didnt want to but didnt want to tell me so i just said dont invite us just invite them and we can do something with just me and our other friend on a different day and that im ok with it and she seemed really happy with the idea but i feal really sad and left out since she always does stuff like this where she picks them over me like. please help me I dont know what to do please help

It's not right for her to choose them over you, so you have to tell her. You should just be really honest with her (you could maybe write her a letter) and say that you like her as a friend, but it's not fair that she's not inviting you to the party just because her popular friends are going to be there. You should also say that if she was your true friend, she wouldn't exclude you like this. You also have to consider if a real friend would treat you like this, or put you below her other, more popular friends. x0x0

I never got the issue of the latest one. About four to six weeks after I subscribed (which was sometime in June) I got the June/July issue. I never got the August September issue. Is there something I should know why it's taking a little long?

It takes a little while to process new subscriptions, so it's normal to get the "current" issue (the one that is out at the time of your subscription) a little later than normal. Usually, issues come by the end of the month prior to the issue - so, for the August/September issue, you should get it by the end of July. lately ive felt like i might get my period. ive been craving junk food like... crazy! and my mood keeps changing super quickly. i didnt sleep at all last night and i kept wwaking up. i also recently had a dream that i got my period. ive been getting discharge for a long time now so... idk. any advice? thanks. and also, where can i get inexpensive bbut comfy jeans?




Only time will tell, honestly, so your best bet is to stock up on period essentials (pads, tampons, etc.) in preparation. Forever 21 has inexpensive and comfy jeans

Hey babe! Pear shaped is if your hips are wider than your shoulder. Apple shaped is if your shoulders are wider than your hips. Hourglass is if your hips and shoulders are the same width and you have a defined waist. Ruler is if your hips and shoulders are equal, but you don't really have a waist. Petite is generally if you're under 5'3" and Tall is usually if you're over 5'5", 5'3" to 5'5" is average.

um hi my school has dresscode, we have to wear khaki's, NO JEANS (i know hard right?) and they have to be beige, black, or navy blue. and our shirts have to have collars, be SOLID colors with NOTHING ON IT and if it has a logo it can't be bigger than a quarter. same with jackets and pants. how can i rock a school look if we have dresscode? however we can wear any type of shoes. any ideas?




Hey babe! You can totally rock your individual style even with a dress code. Take a page from Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl! She wore headbands everyday! You can dress up your outfit with jewelry too. Try long necklaces, brooches, and shoes! You can totally express yourself with different shoes! Boots, heels, flats, everything! If you can find skinny leg dress pants in those colors you can tuck them into awesome boots. You can look awesome in skinny khaki pants, knee high black boots, a solid colored button-down, and a black blazer! Totally cute! Add some shiny long necklaces and it's a perfect fall/winter look. Hey babe! Junk food is so bad for your health, in ways other than your weight. So definitely switch to a healthier diet, DEFINITELY. If you eat junk food on occasion it's fine, you won't gain weight. But if you keep up this unhealthy diet, you are totally at risk.

livver-she's NOT a fake. She's getting older, and has to move on. Of course she cares more about her looks - she's older. She's gonna care more about her looks than when she was 14. It's normal. If you 'love her' so much, then why would you call her a fake?

Since Selena Gomez isn't a newbie of the GL magazine cover, maybe they should choose someone else (even though Selena IS cool). I actually would have liked to see Emma Watson, in honor of the final Harry Potter movie.

Not that I don't like Selena, but she's been on the cover 2 other times. There are TONS of other girls. Like Demi Lovato (Eversince she came out of Treatment, she's BETTER THAN EVER!) and Miranda Cosgrove (One of the richest girls in showbiz and yet she's still SUPER DOWN TO EARTH!). I'm just boared with reading about "Selena Gomez, from a small town girl to a big town star!"
PLEASE CONSIDER MY OPINION AND GET SOME OTHER GIRLS!
