I want to try out for a travel softball team. Its about $1100 a year when you put all the seasons together. My dad already said I couldn't join it around Christmas time. Tryouts for the 2012 season are August 6th and I really want to try out. He said I couldn't because we can't afford to travel across the US, but I found out that they aren't traveling that far this year. Should I ask him again? And if I do what should I say?




Hey girl,

You should definitely ask him again, because the worst he can do is say no. But, if he does say no again, you need to respect that and understand your dad's decision-so no whining or hissy-fit throwing. When you ask him, explain that you know he said no last year, but this year the team isn't traveling far, so you'd really like it if he reconsidered. Show him that you're going to be mature about whatever decision he makes, and tell him that you'd just like him to think about it for a few days before giving you an answer. You could also try making a deal with him--like if you take out the trash for 3 weeks, or don't fight with your brother anymore, then he should reconsider. Good luck! x0x0
