I have a relatively high forehead, and want to grow out my straight bangs so I can cut them into side bangs (not side swept, just side bangs) before school next year. Besides, they're thin and tend to get all gross and annoying now that it's getting hotter. Any tips for how to wear my hair while growing them out with my high forehead, so it doesn't look too weird?

hey!If you have a round face shape you’ll want to try hair styles with fullness and height at the crown. Off center parts help reduce the roundness of a round face shape. Short hair styles with a swept-back direction or hair styles that are longer than chin length will look good on you if you have a round face shape. By layering the top to achieve fullness and keeping the rest of the hair cut relatively close to the face, your round face shape will appear longer and narrower.

After I take a shower i put anti-frizz gel in may hair while its damp and sometimes i blow dry it.But after my big procedure it always turns into a big poof ball.It literally looks like i have cousin it or a poodle on my head.What would you recomend so my hair isn't frizzy anymore? Please and Thank you.
Also I am having trouble with curling my hair.I have tried just about every girls life trick and nothing seems to stay.

Ok so, today i got a haircut, and i absolutely hate it. The length is shorter than what i am used to, and the sidebangs dont fall the way i want them to. Im almost on the verge of crying, because school is in a month and my yearbook picture will be with my horrendous hair. Im entering 8th grade, the last year at my middle school, and i dont want to be remembered looking like that. I really need some advice.

THX! i'v used some b4 but after an hour or so my hair falls flat and gets a lil greasy, i try not to put to much on as well. i get rele frustrated when my hair falls flat after i put so much work into it trying to get it to have volume so do know any ways to get the volume to stay? ps hairspray makes my hair fall even more. thanks sooooo much (again) ahah srry abt all the questions abt the same thing

MOD!!! hey!! thx earlier!!! im a little skeptical abt cutting my hair shorter cuz im nervous the hair dresser will hack way to much off but i will go maybe an inch shorter. haha one more question! lol ok so i've tried mousse and stuff in my hair b4, do u have any ideas of what could work cuz my hair is pretty thin and ends up getting greasy after one day (bummer:/ lol) thanks soooooooo much!!!!!

MOD, I have a big dance preformance comming up at my schools fundraiser, its a huge deal and everyone goes. so i need a really cute ponytail style to wear that will hold up to the humidity (its outside) and last all day but still look really cute even when im not dancing. (: Thanks so much!

Try bringing her a total "get well" kit! Pack it with some magazines, salty and sweet snacks, and maybe even a book made by you to catch her up on all the news that has happened while she was in the hospital/recovering (entertainment, world, even news among your friends/people at school). You could also give her a recipe book or a similar gift, as something she can look forward to doing once she's up and better again Smile

Absolutely - a bob is a great way to go short and change your look, but is much less work to grow out than Emma's short-short cut. Find a cute pic of the haircut you're thinking of and go for it! And remember, just in case it takes a while to adjust to the new haircut - hair always grows back ;)

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning because I'm really itchy 'down there'. I'm really nervous about my appointment. I'm only 12, so I don't think my period is coming or anything, but this has been going on for a couple months now, about since school ended. I know that my doctor will tell me what to do, but I'm really embarrassed to talk about it, even to a female doctor! And what if she has to look at my you-know-what? I'm really freaking out-please help!
Do you think it really could be my period? That's what my mom is kind of thinking. Or just puberty in general? I don't need you to answer the paragraph that I copied, but I need you to answer what I'm asking now, if that makes sense. Thanks!

Have you gone to the doc yet? They'll be the one most likely to answer your questions! I've never heard of itchiness coming before your first period though. Chances are, it's irritation from your underwear, a yeast infection, or just something that will go away with time. Still, it's best to see a doc to know for sure!

Also, how would you describe the hairstyle to a hairstylist? I know it's an "a-line bob" but is there anything more specific I can mention? I googled a-line bob and the images are very different... Instead of just describing it and hoping you get it right, bring a pic to the hairdresser! Either print one out, load one up on your phone, find it in a magazine, or heck just bring your laptop up to the salon. The hairdresser will get a much better idea of the haircut with a photo and can use their professional experience to tell ya whether it'll work with your hair's texture Smile

Talking a lot is just a reaction to the nerves you're feeling at the time, so take a deep breath and slow down. Calming yourself down in this way will make your brain calm down too, so you won't be tempted to blurt out every single thing you're thinking. But it's ok to be talkative! If you're an out-going and bubbly personality, talking more than "normal" is totally fine. It's you - and if the guy is gonna like you, he should see you exactly how you naturally are. 




And hey, awkward pauses aren't necessarily bad! You can use that brief moment to think about what you'll say next so you don't talk too much, say the "wrong" thing, or make a random transition.

No need to sacrifice the length for a new look! Instead, try a long side-swept bang. A set of long layers (not short or too choppy - start mid-neck or lower) can also help to bring some angles to your face's round shape. Soft curls are also super sweet with your face shape! Smile

ok, this is gonna be a long question,hahah.
i do basketball & dance.i hated my old dance studio, so i wanna go to this new one. its an amazing dance studio, & if you do dance there, thats about all that you do.
so basically, i have to pick between dance & basketball.
i would just do basketball this year & dance in my freshman year next year, but im going to a private school for hs! so if i dont do basketball this year, ill never do another team sport with all of my bestfriends again.
& plus, if i go to the new dance studio, ill meet tonsa new girls for high school.
but im nervous, cause what if i pick the dance studio & i end up sucking at dance (because i quit for a year.) & i hate it there? but what if i pick basketball & dont meet any new people?
basically,
im confused.
what would you do if you were in my situation, or if you dont wanna say,what advice could you give me?

This is definitely such a tough decision, but unfortunately I can't make it for you. You have to think about what you actually like doing more, rather than the friends you'll make or have doing it.  Yes, of course it's great to have friends there, but you'll definitely make them no matter what you do, so don't worry about that. I haven't read it, but it has a lot of four-star ratings on Amazon...which is pretty good! Can you see if you can rent it from the library before you buy? That way, you can read a bit and see if it's for you. As for your hair, purple hair is a total fashion statement, so you wanna pair that with basic pieces, solid colors (greys, greens, and light blues or turquoises), and lots of black.

Hey babe! You're lucky you have a long face! That means you can go short or long with your hair. I would cut it to my shoulders and ask my stylist what products work best for volume. You can keep the bangs, side swept bangs can be really flattering. Once it's shorter it will be lighter and have more natural volume. I don't recommend using a diffuser yet, heat ruins your hair, so save that for special occasions. You can also tweeze your hair! Good luck! xoxo

Hey babe! If you have a round face then try not to cut your hair above your chin, it will just make your face look more round. If you want it shorter then cut it right to your shoulders, or between your shoulders and chin, that's super cute and chic. Think Selena Gomez. Or grow it out and try something else, if your hair curls easily then go for a Blake Lively (still blonde) look. If your hair doesn't curl easily then try a Jennifer Anniston inspired look. Hey babe! You asked the right MOD! I have very curly hair too! If you want to play up your natural curl and wave I suggest using first, Tresemme curling milk as soon as you get out of the shower. Then, once it dries just a little bit, scrunch in John Frieda Curling Mousse throughout your whole head of hair. I usually flip my hair upside down and do it that way, that adds volume too! Then for the little frizzies in the front I use either a frizzies spray (black Tressemme bottle with red accents) or John Frieda's secret weapon frizz control. Hopefully these products work for you too! If not, then try out a couple that you find at a drugstore until you find the perfect combination of products for your hair! xoxo

I need help. I'm going through a Harry Potter depression. I watched it on Friday and I'm still really sad. I mean I know its just a series of books and movies but I can't stop thinking about it. I really grew up with this and I'm pretty sure you feel the same way too. The epilogue made me cry and today I found it on youtube and I watched it like a million times. It took me some willpower to stop watching the epilogue but I finally got myself to stop. I can't bear to even listen to the theme music. How do I stop myself from crying and being so sad?
PS I hope by saying epilogue I didn't spoil anything for you but by looking at the Harry Potter articles you all seem to be fans.

I remember waiting for the mail on my 11th birthday hoping to get my acceptance letter. (It obviously never came, but still). You just need to remember, that it does not end here. Harry Potter will always be with you. You can always go to your bookshelf and reread the books or watch the movies over and over again. This series will always be in your heart as you travel through the magical adventures in your life. Hey girly! I'd make sure to stock up on some dramanine to make sure that you don't get sick. And, try to remember why you're going.... to do good for other people! You'll make new friends, and that'll be part of the fun of it. As for the ride, you can take a nap, or play some car games with the other passengers. Like, who can find the most out state license plates! And, the trip will go by so fast that you most likely won't even have a chance to miss home. However, you can always call and check in with your family each night to help get you through it. And, take a few photos of your favorite parts of home, so you can look at them if you feel sad Smile

Hey girly! If you're healthy and eating well, then I wouldn't worry too much about what they think. After all, it's none of their business how you look! When they say something, you can always shrug it off and ignore them. Or, call them out on it and let them know that you don't appreciate it!

I think I'm depressed. Last summer, I had this amazing time at camp...I can't go this summer, because it's too much money. Long story short, I miss it so much, and the people there, and the more I think about it, the more I want to cry. It's funny how the good memories are the ones that make me cry...is that a sign of depression? I feel like there's nothing out there that can make me happy anymore....

Depression is something that affects your entire life - you lose interest in the things you once loved, you constantly feel sad, and you start to not care about anything or anyone around you. It's a medical condition and it can cripple people emotionally. This could be depression, but I think you're just seriously missing something that let you have fun, make great memories, and meet awesome people. It's totally normal to miss parts of our lives that we loved - and it's normal to get emotional about it too. I just left college myself and I felt so upset at first because I knew I would never get it back, but then I realized this isn't the end of the world! Part of growing up is closing some chapters in our life so we can make new ones. How fun would it be to go back every single year, to experience the same things every time? It would get old after a while. Instead, life gives you all these chances to make new memories and try new things. You'll always have that amazing summer to reminisce about, but now you have chances to pick up new hobbies, try new clubs/sports, and make new memories as well <3 Try to keep your head up and try new things this summer, even though you're upset. Time will help you put this in the past - and a new happy memory will make you feel good again soon.

i was watching a Michelle Phan video, the beauty guru. She was saying that if you don't have wrinkles yet, it's never too soon to prevent them. I know I don't need to, but if I want to to prevent wrinkles in the future could I use wrinkle cream now?

No one's stopping you, but I think that'd be a total waste of money. Instead, wash your face daily with a gentle cleanser. A few times a week, use an exfoliating cleanser to buff away dead skin cells. If your skin is not too oily, finish with a facial moisturizer. And most important: always always always wear sunscreen on your face, even in the wintertime. Sunburn and sun damage are the major things that cause skin to look old (not to mention can really hurt us, cause cancer, etc.), so protect yourself from that!

I don't style my hair in the summer unless we are going out to a dinner, otherwise it is in braids or a ponytail.

Beachy waves-adorable!
Short hair-Emma Watson always looks good, and this is no exception!
Center part-still cute, but the girl's hair looks fake because her roots are WAAAAY too dark. And that picture of her and her dress sort of blew the whole thing for me...
