Mod Mod Mod!
Can it be in Microsoft Works Word Processor?

Hey girl,

If you save it as a Microsoft Word document and email it as an attachment, that's fine!

I have a question about content: what are we allowed to do and what are we not allowed to do? My story has a romantic relationship between two women and takes place in the time of courtly affairs (Henry VIII).

Hey girl,

We don't have any topic guidelines, so feel free to write on whatever you like - just keep it appropriate for other girls (as young as eight years old!) to read. Good luck!

We can use pen names, right? Like someone could be Missy Cottoncandy or something? And can we use real people (like celebrities) as main characters?

Hey girl, I'd use your real name when submitting. As for characters, it's your call. I feel your story might make it a little farther though if you use your own original characters as your cast though.

One more question, Do we send it from our email? Like, I only have one email account, and I can't send it from the outlook link. So is it alright to send it from our normal email?
Sorry it was so long, sometimes its hard for me to explain some simple things:p

Hey girl, normal email is fine!

Do we have to put a title to our story? I already have 1,500 words and I know it will say I will have more than that if i put a title in. Do we need one?

Not 100% sure, shoot an email to Brittany Taylor at Brittany@GirlsLife.com

My story is 1,643 words. Is that okay?
I'll try my best to shorten it.

Is it okay, if the story is just a little longer?
Smile Thank you!

For the story contest, can we submit fanfiction, or does it have to have all original characters?

Hey girl!

For the contest it's best not to write in fanfiction. Because of copyright reasons, we wouldn't be able to publish the story. Sorry, chica!

In what issue of GL will the stories be printed? I think my subscription is about to expire so I hope I get the issue. And hopefully I won't have to renew my entire subscription to get it since I don't think I'm subscribing this year. If we don't get the mag, is it possible to buy one issue from a bookstore or something like that?

Hey girly!

We don't know which issue the stories will be printed in, so keep checking back to see what's up with that! But if you don't resubscibe, our magazines are sold in stores so you could just pick it up!
