This would be a good way to keep your desk clean for an A+ but make sure you make it your own! personalize your desk by putting a couple pics up of something you did that makes you happy or something that just makes you happy! you can find an old can and wrap it with construction paper [whatever color you want!]and then decorate it with anything you like (stickers, pictures, etc.) and idk about you but I love to listen to my jam while i do anything so maybe have a little thing on your desk to listen to music!

I'm in the process of redecorating my room. What realized is it's the small stuff that personalizes your desk like a stapler or the knobs on your desk. Look around stores and spend on the tiny things you really like.

I already redid mine!! I can't do a lot with my desk and stuff but I got the cutest calender for my wall (it's all colorful!!) from Barnes and Nobles a few weeks ago and I'm loving it!! My awards are hanging up all around as a motive to do well, and I have thousands of pencils and pens and markers to make things bright!! So ADORABLE!!

I'm about to start my freshman year of high school And I just found out that I have NO classes with my best friend and that my other best friend moved to a different town! I also found out that I have classes with my enemies!!Plus I have a crush on this nerdy guy that's finally going to be at my school but everyone I know would laugh if they saw him... I'm not really good at making new friends and very shy... Any advice?

Look at this as a time to make a fresh start, branch out, and enjoy all these new experiences! It's a fact of life that we're gonna have to deal with people we don't like, so just try not to get involved in any drama. Don't cause it by saying things or starting rumors, and you should be fine Smile But also remember to be yourself and speak up to your new classmates. Without your bestie there as a crutch, you can make even more new friends and get to know everyone without the pressure of including your friend in all the convos. As for the crush...remember that people change a lot during high school and that high school isn't always as catty or judgmental as you might think it is. It's totally ok to keep crushin' on him - and even getting to know him better. What matters is how you carry yourself and how you feel about him. If you seem ashamed because he's a "nerd," people will judge you. But if you're confident and you tell people about the qualities that make him great, things might end up a lot differently Smile

So my room used to be my older brothers room and the walls are white but really dirty...and have holes like the size of ping pong/tennis balls...we r on a tight budget and i cant redo my room (money issue) do u hav any tips on ways to decorate them for free

Hey babe,

First off, move everything away from the walls and get in there with a bucket of soapy water! Scrub the walls with a sponge, then wipe the soap away with a paper towel. A lil hard work will get the dirty spots off and give new life to the white paint. Try covering the holes with prints of your fave paintings, photos of you and your friends, original artwork from your more creative besties or fam members, or posters of your top celebs. You can also use thumbtacks to hang your necklaces and other jewelry around the room to give it a more girly feel Smile

I do sports almost all year round (soccer in summer, volleyball in autumn, and basketball in winter) I also watch what I eat and limit myself pretty good, but i am still overweight! What gives??

I just started junior year. I had an awful sophomore year and I already have a feeling that this year is going to be the same. I already feel that most of my classes are way over my head (im in AP) and i feel that I can't keep up. Also, I have only four friends. Two of them literally never talk, they just sit there, the other one hates everything and the other one is ok. I have tried truly EVERYTHING to make new friends. Talk to everyone? Check. Join clubs? Check. Im in 7. I am truly miserable at school. I just dont know what to do anymore. Its only the first week and every day I come home sad or depressed or feel like crying. What can I do? Thank you Smile




Hey girl, I think you are taking great steps. I know it's hard to be frustrated you don't have a clique now, but it takes time to make friends. So hang in there, put yourself out there and don't be able to talk to a guidance counselor too if you continue to feel blue. What you're going through is tough for everyone and there's nothing wrong with reaching out to get extra help.

So, I really really REALLY want a desk for my room, but there's 2 problems:
1) I don't really have a lot of room, and
2) My parents won't buy me one!
I hate doing my homework anywhere but my room because it's so distracting everywhere else. But I hate doing my homework on the floor or my bed because my papers get lost. I want a place that I can have a big calendar, all of my schoolwork, and old papers without being cluttered, and my first thought is a desk. What should I do?




Hey girlie, try a lap desk instead. You can keep your work organized on a flat surface and use it wherever you are in the house.

MODMODMOD: okay so I play soccer, and for the past two years I have had this REALLY WEIRD tan line on my shins, because where my shinguard sits, its all pale! i dont tan naturally very easily so it hasnt gone away! i try using like tanning oil/tanning lotion in just that spot, but it doesn't work. any suggesstions???! THANKS GL




Hey girl, I'd suggest using some sunless tanner or bronzer to make it even. Remember, when trying to "tan" in general, it's far safer to use a bronzer than get it in the sun. Keep your skin healthy!
