MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to a private school this year and we have to wear uniforms. we can't wear any different jackets, have to have shoes in school colors and i couldn't find any cute ones in the colors, sock have to be white or navy, no hats, no scarfs, no belts, and this is REALLY hard for me. i already thought of necklaces, bracelets, hair clips and such, but i can't find any ideas to make me stand out from the others without breaking dress code. any ideas?
P.S. if you can put some links in your answer that might helpme out some that would be great.

Hey girl, I know a year or two ago I wrote two pieces about school uniform accessories: http://www.girlslife.com/post/2009/07/28/school-uniform-accessories.aspx and http://www.girlslife.com/post/2009/08/03/school-uniform-bottoms.aspx. The trick is to find accessories that express who you are and your style. I'd try stores like Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and Charlotte Russe.

MODMODMOD!!!So back to school is well here and i want to change my style. I always wear jeans and shirts that say things like HOLLISTER accros them and its not very cute!!I want to pick like one style (girly, edgy, spoty, ect.)Im not very girly and i dont thing edgy is really me.... All the girls at my school are sporty but not me!!I really want to have an awsome wardrobe but i have no idea what to get! (BTW i shop at places like hollister, Abercrombie, aeropostale, Gilly Hicks) Im (SHORT) blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin THANKS SOOO MUCH!




Hey babe,

Instead of going for your stand-by jeans and Hollister tee, mix things up by remembering one word: LAYERING. I promise, it'll change your world! You could have 5 pieces in your closet and, by layering them differently and pairing some accessories, you could go through each of those "stereotypes" one day a week if you wanted! I'd grab a thin solid colored cardigan, a structured blazer (cropped would probably look cut eon your body type), a pair of dark wash skinny jeans, a black body conscious skirt, and some necklaces. These are what you'd call "staples" - you can mix them up with the tees and tanks you already have to create totally new looks. Start here and you'll start figuring out what you feel most comfy in - and then you can build your closet based on that Smile

MOD MOD MOD !
I'm starting my first year of highschool in about two weeks. I really want to look cute in some new makeup &clothes, since right now, I don't have much. The thing is, my parents are going through a hard time, financialy. My school also rquires steel toe boots &safety glasses, wich are kindof pricey. How can I buy everything I need within a rasonable price range? Thanks.

Check out discount stores for deals on pricey items. You might be able to buy the boots and glasses used. As for clothes, try thrift stores, which have amazing deals, or stores with low prices, like Forever21 or Old Navy.

i am known to be able to pull off anything fashion wise (everything from oversized zebra striped hairbows to pink frilly dresses to black shirts with skulls to maxi dresses), but i don't think i could ever look good in harem pants.

MODMODMOD My family isn't the richest but not in absolute poverty either. My mom has four kids and my dads hardly ever home since he's in the army. So I feel really bad that all I do is ever ask and get, but I have nothing to give. I'm 12 and about 13 and I want to get a job, I've considered babysitting but you need to have experience, and take a class but my mom can't pay for a class. And mowing lawns, or shoveling is also a no since I'm so small and weak and can't even hold a shovel. Please Help!!!

Sorry to hear about your situation. The best thing to do is to talk to your Mom -- she'll know best what she needs help with. Maybe you can babysit your siblings, take on some chores or extra responsibilities, or go grocery shopping -- anything that can help.
