I think that it is important to learn cursive. It kind of displays your personality and is an art. There is so much lost on the computer and phones- don't get me wrong, i love them as much as you do, but isn't there a loss involved with using them?

Kids should at least be taught how to write thier first and last name! What is going to happen when they have to sign things!!

Although cursive is a very nice thing to know how to do, Typing is too. You'd use it for reports and papers in school and it's really helpful when you're working in an office. I think cursive is very pretty but not used so much anymore so not as big a nessesaty. I think you could acomplish more tasks with the keyboard than with cursive at the tip of your pen.

Ha ha, cursive. Yeah, it's a handy skill, I use it for my signature and other important stuff. It's harder to copy that way. Our celebrities have bad handwriting skills because, they are too lazy to put heart into their signatures to people. Don't idol after EVERYTHING our celebrities do. How awful it is for their fans who want an autograph and just get squiggles on paper. No one is going to believe Justin Beiber signed that paper. Everyone is getting all worked up at sloppy cursive because, it's proper to be able to legitimately be able to read what someone wrote. Which is usually their name on a document or check. Oh and cursive is pretty & the best for yearbook signing. & I do judge people on their handwriting/cursive. I don't think of it as a silly thing at all.

I personaly didnt like the way my school did cursive but we did both keyboarding and cursive. I wish that they wouldve taught it through middle school too so i would remember it
