I have these dark patches of skin on my neck. They stand out from the rest of my skin, and when I tried to rub them to see if it was dirt, white stuff came off. What is it? How can I make them go away?

 

Hey girlie, you should see a doctor about that. Until you get to the doctor try to avoid rubbing or scratching them.

I have occasional flair ups all over my face but I wash my face and keep my hands off my face and my acne is all down my hairline but I try to rinse my shampoo outta my hair.. Are there any suggestions to getting rid of it? Thanks! Smile




Hey girlie,

Try switching to a shampoo specifically designed for oily scalps - this could help cut down on the oil, which can clog pores if it makes its way down to your face! You could also chat with a dermatologist for a more professional suggestion. Otherwise, try to remember that sometimes acne is just caused by hormones - and in those cases, all we can do is dab some concealer on the spot and wait it out Smile You're doing a great job keeping your skin healthy and clean, which is what matters!

This is my daily face routine! My mom said cold water also gets rid of wrinkles when you're older? Not sure if it's true, but the cold water definitely helped my skin! It's completely smooth! No acne Smile

so I have blackheads all over my noseFrown how do I get rid of them?? I have really sensitive skin so exfoilators irritate it sometimes. Also...I get black heads and pimples in my ears...how do I get rid of/prevent those?? It's always embarrassing to wear my hair up!

BLACKHEADS ARE ALL OVER MY NOSE. i cant get rid of them. what can i do? i just started at a new highschool and i feel like when im talking to people they are staring at my nose and breakouts. some of my friends have a few blackheads but i have alot. please help!

Imm sooo confused. Im going to try clean and clear stuff but there's so much to choose from. I have oilyness in my t-zone and my cheeks are dry. Should I get an exfoliater? Should I get a moisturizer? PLEASE HELP!

Okay, so I wash my face 2 to 3 times a day (before school, before bed, and sometimes right after school). But my skin gets SO OILY! That's actually the main reason that I wash my face so often. My first question is: Can washing my face too often harm my skin? And my second question: Is there any way to get my skin less oily without having to wash it all the time? Thanks!




Hey girlie,

Washing your face so much can definitely dry it out, but as long as you use a gentle cleanser you should be fine! Look for a face wash designed for oily skin. It'll be a little bit stronger, which is just what you need. A toner can also help to keep oil away for a while. Using a face mask once a week and drinking plenty of water to keep skin hydrated will also help. Also, remember: NO touching! Your hands can transfer oils to your face, making it become super oily/break out.

MOD MOD MOD okay so i went to the dermatologist for my acne, at first it made a huge change, my skin was perfect for 2 weeks, now i've been using it for a month and its not working i just broke out a week ago and its not going away, should i call my dermatologist and go back in?




Hey girl, you should definitely call your dermatologist and ask if there's anything you can do before your next appointment. Sometimes your skin can develop a tolerance to a treatment routine so it may not work as well.
