Middle school is turning me into a stress mess!

I started junior high this year, and I find it very overwhelming. I don’t have time for all the things I love—boys, friends, shopping, etc. What can...

I wish i'd seen this article sooner. when i went into 8th grade i barely made it 2 months before the stress got to me. I started having panic attacks and throwing up everytime someone reminded me about my unfinished homework. my mom pulled me out of public school to homeschool me. im better now but i feel like the whole thing could have been prevented if i had made myself take a brake once in a while.
im just glad it's over.

next year I'm going into junior high and want to be really prepared. I want to be organized and remember to do my work on time. Also I want to know about stuff like what boys expect and what I should expect about puberty. Please help.

Hey CottonCandyCutie, it’s very good that you want to go into middle school so prepared. You’re already sending out positive vibes for yourself! It may help you to set up a scheldue for yourself. After school you could give yourself a 20 minute break to get something to eat, watch a little tv or take a quick nap. After that dedicate the next 2 to 3 hours on your homework. Take another break, maybe 30 minutes this time for dinner, and if you have anything to study or review use the next 20 minutes to do so. Setting up a routine like this will help you stay on track with all your work. Getting a calendar you can post on your wall, where you can write in reminders for important events will work too. I never forget anything because I jot notes down on post-its, and hang them on my calendar. You will encounter so many different boys in school, so it can be hard to figure out what each one wants. Once you get a crush, spend time talking to him and finding out about his interests, and take it from there. With puberty your bod will continue to grow and develop and you’ll finally get your period. Periods aren’t all bad, and if you have any questions on them, go to our search bar and type in “periods” for a whole list of articles. Hope all this helps!! Xoxo

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD i'm in 6th grade so i;m going to middle school next year and I'm freaking out about graduation i've got no idea what to expect, what to wear or anything! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey girlie,

Even though this article says it's about high school, it'll really help ya make it through! Middle school only seems scary because you've never done it before - but if you wear what makes you comfortable, make an effort to meet new people and be friendly, and get involved, you'll be fine! And you'll settle in before you know it Smile Also, GL has written a book all about surviving middle school - check it out here!

MOD MOD MOD I'm 13 and i am in 8th grade i am really excited about high school but im scared i won't pass 8th grade this year if i don't i cant spend my first year with my brother who is going to be a senior im really scared about flunking math i have done extremely good this year and now that it is closer to the end it puts more pressure on me because it feels like i can't make up my grade i go to my schools after school tutoring but it don't help please help

Hey chica! If you are worried about a particular class or grade, I'd definitely talk to  your teacher about it. They can tell you where you stand right now, and what you need to do to do well and pass the class. Talking to them will show initiative too, and will let them know that you'll do whatever it takes to pass Smile

School has been really tuff on me. Im really a straight A student but now I've be been getting all B's and I hate it. It's really bad for me because I've been acting out at school ,like I be been sad and ignoring my friends, and not paying attention to the teachers. I've been staying up late for the past few weeks. I've also got so much things to do at home. Over all I've just been slacking off, because all I want to do is relax, but I can't because I' just have so much things on my mind like school family friends. Crushes and it's all just tooooo much. PppLease can you help me????????

lately I have been very depressed... I used to have good grades ... I mean I still do but I am doing pretty bad in math.... I didn't do to good on a quiz and it's been bugging me to no end..... I think I'm in depression and Im too scared to tell anyone about it... I need help ... I feel that it's just not okay and everyone is gonna be all "wow, she didn't do well in school "... It's also been bugging me b/c the boys in my class think I'm so smart but I'm really just like them... I hate how they stereotype me and I'm fed up with them .... I need help... I'm sorry I sound so urgent but I need help immediately .... Please! Frown

If your grades arnt as good as you want then you need to spend more time making them better. Talk to your teacher about getting more help and put in the effort to bring up your grades. I promise youll feel way better if you do that. Good luck! xoxo kerra
