MOD MOD MOD I've played soccer a few times but not competitive just with a few friends. I want to try out for soccer next year but the problem is, is that I dont know what I need to do to get ready. How much do I need to run? Do I need to be strong? Any answers for questions like that would help.
Hey girly! I'd talk with some girls already on the team, or the coach, about this. They can give you tips and ideas for things to help with tryouts, and endurance! I'd say running would be a great start, though. You'll need endurance on the field. Maybe try running for a half hour a day. Then, you can increase that to an hour a day if you can!

In XC we sometimes run on the road and I have become somewhat terrified that I will get hit by a car, which is kind of unlikely because there isn't very much trafic on somedays. But all the hard work that we did this-last week has paid off because at my meet today my time was 36:02 which is my personal best. My first mile was under 10 min. and I am so proud of myself.

OMG!! At my school we are training to run the mile and they are over working us!! They won't let us go get drinks in the middle of class so I always feel and look like crap after because it is my first class of the day!!!

Hey girls. I saw this and really wanted to read it because someone related to me (i never met her or even knew that she was around until i heard that she died) was on her daily run and she got hit by a car and it killed her. but i also heard that there might have been more to it. so keep your eyes open and try to alternate and switch up routes every once in a while.

Mod Hey. My mom bought me running shoes for P.E. this year, but they're too big but I cant return them so i wuz wondering if they could be affecting my running?
Hey girly! It's possible that they could be affecting your running. I'd try wearing some heavy/thick socks to make the shoes fit tighter. Or, pick up shoe inserts at the store!
