MOD MOD MOD I need new hairstyles! All the ones I used to use only work on long hair, and my hair was a lot straighter before I cut it. Now its an inch past shoulder length, which means I can't braid it, half-ponies look weird, buns are hard to do, its too short to curl, and I don't want to put my hair in a pony or keep it out every day. My hair's kinda wavy and sorta frizzy (not too much though). I need new hairstyles PRONTO!!! Help!

Hey girly! I'm obsessed with braids this season. Even though your hair is shorter, you can still braid back your bangs! Or, twist them back, a la Lauren Conrad. Try a fun or funky headband (find some at Target, H&M or Forever 21). And, check out our hairstyles page for even more ideas

I have shoulder length, super thick, carrot colored hair. It is nearly impossible to fun any hairstyles that work, so all I can only wear my hair in a ponytail (but then I have a bunch of frizz and fly-aways) or down (but, again frizz makes it poofy). Any suggestions?

Going to a new school is way exciting, but nerve-wracking, too. Hmmm, a hairstyle for extensions? Why not try some beach-y waves? Shower the night before the big day and scrunch your wet hair before you go to bed. When you wake up you'll have an effortless hairstyle that screams "summer"! As for making friends, don't worry. Introduce yourself as often as you can, and people will realize how friendly you are. Ask them about their summer plans, the best classes and their favorite teachers. Join as many clubs as you can and try out for a sports team. You'll be on track in no time.
