that's one of the best poems I've ever heard, honestly. As a writer, I understand what it feels like to have one's best work shoved aside. But I just want to say - when you become the next J.K. Rowling, you can say that I totally called it! Keep writing, chica!

Well, I'm a writer as well, and I know what you're talking about. Every time you write, you give up some piece of yourself. But criticism is what makes you grow as a writer, and if you're just going to dismiss people as "mean" who are actually trying to help, then you won't improve (and don't say you don't want to).
