We’ve all heard strange beauty advice and wondered if it was really true (like the old “dab some toothpaste on a zit” thing). Stress no more, babes...

Hey madicadaby, since it isn't a lack of sleep causing your dark circles, it may be the position you go to sleep in. Try laying on your back with two or more pillows under your head to keep blood from building up beneath your eyes. In the morning, take a cold rag or bag of ice and apply it to your eyes for about five minutes. Hope this helps ya! Xoxo

I have dark under eye circles. I get about 9 hours of sleep every night so I don't think that is the cause of them. I feel really self conscious about them. I wear yellow toned under eye concealer but they are still noticeable and if I put on a lot of concealer on it looks fake and I look funny. What should I do to help make them less noticeable?
Thanks Lynae P.

MOD! I am nervous about getting my first period! I wear liners, but I feel awkward. Is it something with me or do I just have to get used to it? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!

Youll get used to it! Pads can often be very uncomfortable at first. Dont worry. xoxo kerra

Hey Marguerite2001, sharing makeup with someone else is never good. It's okay that you did it this one time, but don't do it again. No worries. Smile Smile

Hey audz1199, be sure you're washing your face every morning and every night. It may help to drink lots of water to get rid of bumps. You could also get a bottle of Witch Hazel (it has nothing to do with witches lol) dip it in a cottonball and apply it to your face. Putting toothpaste on the pimples might help too. Hope this helps you out! Smile Smile

i have a MAJOR crush on this guy who is an awesome dancer, and i secretly love dancing how can i get closer to him by that??

Hey girlie,

Try to get involved in dancing and learn more about it! Ask him for tips since you're just starting out, and use that as a way to grow closer to him Smile Be patient and let your friendship grow gradually. It'll be great because you'll bond over a major thing you two have in common, while also pursuing one of your interests Smile

MOD! I wear moisturizer and concealer and powder on my face usually. At school about half way through the day it gets kind of melty and my skin looks sweaty and bad. Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks a bunch!!

Hey girly, it could be the products you're using. Try powder, concealer and moisturizer from Mac, Sephora or the cosmetics section at Target. Smile Smile

I am a ten year old girl so I wanna ask can I use make up?
Will it affect my skin?
I wanna ask another question too that is -
I had got a small pimple because of heat so I blasted it and now I have a spot what should I do to clear it?
Please suggest

Hey honey! In my opinion, 10-years-old is a little young to be wearing make-up because you will appear to look older. I'd say to wait until you are at least a teenager. Ask your mom or another older female to see what they think. Pimples are annoying! But, try your best not to pop them because it'll only leave a mark. You can use a little bit of foundation on the area where the mark is to cover it up.

On Friday, I got my period. Yesterday it was brown (probably dried blood). i didnt get it all afternoon yesterday tho. and i put in a pad today but nothing came. should i wear a pad tomorro 2? because it was a really short period, only like 3 days. it is my 5th period. so should i wear a pad tomorro or is it ok if i dont since i havent gotten it for more than a day, and it was brown yesterday, which, usually for me, menas my period is almost over?

To be on the safe side, put on a pantiliner but carry a pad with you as well. That way, if it does come on, you will be prepared.

MOD How long is concealer good for?

Hey cutie,

the lifespan of your concealer varies from brand to brand.  Generally it's good for up to a year.

I'm really good at doing hair and can do just about anything, but I still have trouble with my hair! It's very thin and won't grow past my shoulders. When I do a braid, it won't stay straight because there isn't enough hair to weigh it down. Buns and ponytails are out of the question because they end up tiny and don't look good. Even curling my hair doesn't turn out because there are only 5-6 little curls! I've tried hair-growth serums and get trims, but nothing works! Please help!

Hey girlie!

Unfortunately, there's not much that you can do.  Your hair growth rates change all of the time.  Those serums almost never work, so that's no surprise.  The best thing you can do is make sure you're keeping your body in good shape and taking vitamins.  The more orderly things are on the inside, the more it will show on the outside.

Ok, so my BFF was just broken up with. It tore her apart.
A week after they did, the guy started talking to me. And now he likes me, and I like him.
I told her yesterday, and she was devastated. We talked it out though, and she said she was okay with it. Honestly I don't believe it. I wanna date him, but I don't wanna loose my BFF. What should I do????????????? Olivia

Hey girlie,

These kind of situations can be super tricky.  Whatever you do, don't rush it since it can potentially hurt lots of people.  Clearly your best friend won't be entirely okay with it if it broke her up so much when it happened.  My advice is to give her a little time to get over him and find a new boy, then talk to her about it again and get your boy!  Good luck!

i have like these two guys for one month, lets say guy1 and guy2 are there names. they are both friends. and i am close friends with one guy1.a couple of days ago, guy2 came and hang with me and i think that made guy1 jealous, so guy1 tryed to hang with me more, so now they are hanging with me all the time, which i think is cool. but now one of my friends told me that guy1 was going to ask me out, then another friend came up and said that guy2 was going to ask me out, so i don't no what to do.. i like them both, but if i say yes to one, the other will be sad... so i can't win
what should i do??
thanks Smile <3

Hey Girl! sounds like you have been super busy hanging out with your new BFFs. Make sure you dont get ahead of yourself though and wait before one of them asks you out. Try and think about the qualities in both boys and see which you find more attractive. Some boys are only meant to be friends and dont be nervous to tell him that.

Hey girl, why not try distracting yourself with other holidays? Halloween's a great start: plan a Halloween party and your costumes. Do a secret boo type thing where you anonymously ghost each other with candy bags.

MOD MOD MOD!
A ton of girls are obsessed with this one guy at my school. I have a HUGE crush on him, also. (And, no, I didn't follow along with the crowd, I liked him from the first day I saw his face.) He's sweet, cute, and just, well, amazing! How do I get his attention without going overboard? And, please, I'm sick of everyone saying,
"Ooh! Study date!" So, please don't say that. Thanks! Oh, and I need advice on what to wear tomorrow with my plain graphic tee. I can't seem to find something that'll make me stand out! Thanks a ton! Laughing

Hey girl, why not wear a skirt with your tee or cute cardi? Wearing something a little more dressy is a great way to catch eyes. As for this guy, seriously just try to be his friend right now. See if you can work on a project with him. Plan a study group and invite him/include him. Take small steps. He isn't going to ask you to go out with him off the bat. You have to develop a relationship with him first.

I definitely think eating bad food can cause acne. You know how just about every teen in the U.S. has had acne at one point or another? Most Americans eat tons of junk food. Well, in some countries where they eat completely healthy, there is no acne! Weird huh?

my bff is sooo nice, i love her! she is always there for me and listens! i almost feel like i have not been as good a friend back, sometimes i'll say things that i dont mean to sound mean but they might... Frown what are some ways to show her how much i appreciate her? and also filter when to say things and not. thanks! Smile

Hey girl, it's always good to run what you want to say through your head before you say it. Remember, you can't take words back. But remember, all it takes is a nice note to say how much your bud means. Words have so much power, good and bad.

My mom wants me to tell my younger sister about her period because she think she will take it better from me. We are really close but I am not sure how to tell her about it. What should I say so she understands about it but doesn't get scared?

Hey girl, think about what you'd want to hear in her place. Start by telling her her bod will be changing, but that it's OK and everyone goes through it. It's normal. And then describe the process behind it — with your mom there to support you.

My eye lashes r long and really black. I kinda want to start wearing mascara but I tried some on before and my eyelashes looked stupid cause they were really long and when I looked straight into the mirror my lashes were roughing my browbone. R there anyways I can make my lashes have that thickness look and make my eyes really pop?! Thanks!

Hey babe,

I think mascara is probably the best thing to make your eyelashes look thicker is to use mascara and an eyelash curler. Have a fun day of beauty and experiment with what looks good on you! xoxox
