So,theres this girl that I used to be friends with,and now she thinks she's so popular.She'll walk around like no one exists,she'll wear REALY revalling clothes(Short skirts and crop top with no under shirt,we are in 6th grade),and she's turning my other friends against me.I hate the way she acts and treats other people.She is so annoying! I even had to remove myself from the dance was at last night because of her.She recently started a roumor about me having this head-over-heels crush on one of my really close guy friends.It irks me how many people think shes the sweetest thing in the world wile she puts me down.She tells me I'm no good at anything.Is there any way you can help me with this?Thanks.

Hey girl,

Sorry your friend's being unkind -- she probably just wants attention. If she's putting you down, there's no reason to keep spending time with her, so try to do things with other friends and disregard what she says.

MODMODMOD! No other mods have responded so i hope this is different Smile okay so i really like my bgf, which is also the brother of my friend on my cheer squad. he has told two of my friends he likes me, and he knows i like him, but he told my friends he liked me maybe a month ago, and nothing has happened since. i see him a lot at my cheer competitions and i dont really know what to do, especially with my first middle school dance coming up. any ideas? thanks SmileSmileSmile

Well, if you do want to move on and get him out of your mind, you should surround yourself with friends, keep busy with sports/activities, and always stay open to opportunities to meet new potential crushes. But honestly, just because he cheated once doesn't mean he's a bad guy! It doesn't mean he'll act that bad again - maybe he learned his lesson. Personally, I'd probably get to know him a little better but, knowing his reputation, be a little on your guard. But if he respects you, makes you happy, and treats you right...maybe he's grown up a little and will be good to you! It's almost always good to give someone a second chance. But if he turns out to be a game-player, at least you know you did your research and can move on confidently <3

ok well i like this kid in my 2nd and 8th period class but hes really shy so i tried to be nice and so i would say hi to him like once a day when i saw him. he is also really quiet and dosent talk much. i tryed to make small convos but he just gives me one answer then stops talking to me! i dont know what to do and i try to get his attension and idk if he even knows i exist because hes so quiet! also when im around his i get nervous and kinda act not myself like i become kinda hyper. i need help

Some guys are just naturally shy, so it's hard to tell whether it's his personality or whether he's just not interested. Keep trying to strike up a convo, and if he's still not responding, try playing a game or sport with him. Maybe with the distraction, he'll open up!

Is it bad that I like him? Should I move on?
So.. I met this girl,Katie that my other friend introduced me to. Shes one of my best friends now. But that's not the point. The point is, she had this boyfriend, Kaden. He is a total player. He even told me that. He says he "plays" girls. "Wraps them around his finger" and more player stuff like that. Then, in tech, he started to say he "loves me" everyday. Then he got a girlfriend, stopped and now we switched electives and we have chorus together. He broke up with his other girlfriend, and he is telling me he loves me again. He always gives me hugs and hugs me for a long time. He is also a perv!!! He looked at me, and a part of my skin was showing through my shirt and told me I looked hot. Then, Katie hates him, but I can feel that they still like each other, but their not dating. I can tell he still likes her, too. I don't no, but I think I sorta like him.. He had TONS of girlfriends before, also. Should I stay away?







Stay away. He doesnt love you. I know its rough to hear but hes saying exactly what he needs to to get you "wrapped around  his finger." Stay far away from this guy. xoxo kerra

Hey girlie,

She kinda has to keep an open mind while she's talking to him. Sometimes, convos do die - and there's nothing we can do about it. But there are usually ways for her to ask a follow-up question, or offer her own opinions/experiences on the subject, or send a link to a video/news story/funny photo to start a new topic. Just remind her to take a deep breath and think of all the ways this could go - then choose one. It's like a "Choose your own adventure" book... YOU decide the next step to take! Smile

It might help to chat with him a little online/through text first. That way, he can grow more comfy around you and settle down a little! Who knows why he acted so fidgety - maybe he likes you back, maybe he gets nervous around girls, maybe he was stressing out about something else, maybe he heard you like him and isn't sure of his feelings right now. Whatever it is, break the ice this way first and then try in-person chats later Smile

You just have to be persistent! Talk to him lots, flirt/compliment/tease/joke with him, text or chat online and, after some time passes, even try to hang out outside of school. Since he's an exchange student, you don't have a really long time to grow closer, but you can still take some time to get to know each other as friends! Once you're more comfy around each other and he has gotten the hint that you're crushing (from flirting with him), getting asked out is much more likely Smile

But me and this guy..we don't talk all the time, but he's friends with my bgf and my bgf likes me. I'm debating with this guy from my class, and while we weren't in the classroom, the guy i like says to my bgf 'so, larson, you jealous devon's gettin some tut action?' He knows my bgf likes me. I mean, I know he was joking, but still. And he knew I knew, but he didn't care at all. OMG PLEASE REPLY OMG!! ok so i am a super girly girl....u know always has perfect hair, wears make up, and only girly outfits. well my BF is a 100% country guy. i love him to death but i am not country at all. and today he invited me to go to his grandmother's house and i said yes. then he told me that he wants me to ride their four-wheeler, go cart, and just go up to the barn and hang out with him......that's sooo not my thing!! i am so scared!! also i have noooo idea what to wear and how to do my hair...i want to look good but idk what to wear cause of all of that country stuff. MOD MOD! i was with two of my bestfriends the other night, and i was sitting on one couch texting, and they were on the other. all of a sudden, they burst out laughing & looked at me. i was like "what?" and one was like "oh nothing!" eventually the other was like "Well we were talking about when you were gonna get your first kiss. & we guessed sophmore year." they always make fun of me for not kissing a guy/not dating a guy (were in 8th.)just cause they always have a new boyfriend/always kiss someone.doesnt help that the guys that i like always end up hitting on them. i feel like such a loser next to them. any advice? thanks&happpy holidays.(:
