Last year, my mile time was 10:12 this year it was 8:40 something, we'll have to run it again soon and I want to get it into the 7 minute range...so these tips are great!

Hey gymnastics111, you may not be able to run but you can do other exercises inside your home. Try jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups, and leg lunges. Do these for a couple hours each day. Your bod will stay looking fit. Hope this helps!! Xoxo modmodmod i live in ct, its winter time, and during the day it gets down to like 20 degrees. I play field hockey in the fall, and I really improved my mile time and 2 mile time. I want to stay in shape, but running in 20 or below weather is not good for your body, or for mine at least, my throat starts hurting really bad when i run in the cold. But i dont own a treadmill or anything like that. I dont have a ride to the gym, and i really dont what to get out of shape over the winter. What can i do to stay in shape, and keep running? THanks! I play field hockey for my highschool, we have a coach who is serious about running, 2 miles each day in preseason. My mile time was 8:50 before the season, at the end it was 7:05 I was siked, i cut off a whole minute in one run one time!
