Okay, I have two questions. First of all, on Saturday, I got home really late, and went to bed without thinking (I'm on my period right now.) I was wearing my favorite white-ish, basically off white, pants and I didn't even change my pad. I bleed through and stained my jeans. How do I get it out?! And second, my period slows way down when I workout. Like, almost stopping. I ran out of tampons the other day, so I just wore a pad this morning when a went for a run. When I got back, there was barely any blood. But then it just went back to normal after that. Is that normal? Is it something I should be worried about? If so, should I talk to my mom about it? What should I say to her??

Your pants should be fine as long as you put some stain stick or other stain solution on them! I don't think it's strange for your period to change depending on how active you are. It's bound to fluctuate all the time! If you're worried though, asking your mom is a good idea. Jordan S.

Ohk I need help!! So my period comes between every 3 weeks- a month. I was supposed to get it a few days ago and it never came. The farthest I ever went with a boy is kissing. Is there something wrong?!? I am really freaked out please answer ASAP.!! Thanks!

Hey girl!

There's probably nothing wrong. Sometimes your period can be late because of stress, lack of sleep, or diet. Make sure you're getting lots of rest, eating a well-rounded diet, and relaxing. And just stop thinking about it! If it doesn't come ask your mom, a trusted adult, or doctor about it.

summergirl190, I can understand your situation. I worry about that too... but I think what I am going to do and what you should is to buy tampons with a light absorbency. Then change it when you feel you need too, but if your period is really light you can keep it in for up to 8 hours but not over. Plus, even if it is not full, they are so tiny that they should not hurt anyway. It is your choice in the end, however. If you do not feel it is safe for you to use even the light ones, that's okay. Plus, don't worry, your period probably will get heavier as your body gets into a normal cycle.

okay so i got my period last month. but the problem is that it is sooooo light!! sometimes its so light i dont know if it is actually my period or just spotting. im afraid to use tampons sometimes (i already know how to though) because im afraid itll hurt when i take it out cause it isnt full!! help!!

Okay,so I'm going to a camp in a different state for 3 days. Right now I'm on my 2nd period on the 3rd day. My last period lasted 1 week. The schedule for the camp is packed like for 7AM to 10PM lights out at 11PM. How do i handle this? Also the pads I use are super loud when you open them. I've never tryed a tampon before. Would that be a better idea? I'm scared to use a tampon though. Right now my flow is pretty heavy and last time it was kinda a medium flow. Any advice on anything about this would be great! Thanks!!!

Hey girl, periods never come at a convenient time. But you'll get used to handling them, don't worry. For this camp, be sure to bring enough pads if you don't wanna use tampons. Pads usually last for 2 to 4 hours, so just monitor the day before you leave about how long you can use one before ya need to change it. Then at camp, if there aren't convenient break times, pull one of the female counselors aside and tell her your dilemma. She should be able to help you sneak off at intervals to make sure ya don't have any mishaps. As for the sound of opening a pad, don't even worry about that. Girls and boys use different restrooms for a reason. Periods are just a part of being a girl, so no one should say anything about that. And tampons are nothing to be scared of, but it's fine to wait til you've had your period for longer til ya start using them. If your period is super heavy and it's really worrying you, you might want to give tampons a try. But otherwise, you should be fine with pads. Enjoy your camp!
