@aikostar12 I totally agree. When I was decrushing someone, I kept thinking about all of his good qualities. But once I thought about his bad qualities, I realized that he wasn't worth it. And a MOD is a Moderator, or someone that answers your questions on GL. Smile

Also, how am I sopposed to run off my frustrations if we run together two times a week sometimes only once and we r on the same track team so we see each other at least once a week. My hobbies r to run and jump and the only thing that keeps us seperated is our feild events,I high jump he long jump but once a week I long jump without my friends which makes some things harder to cover up when I'm talking to him. SOS

MOD MOD MOD MOD! SO I like this guy and he knows and he lives next door, but theres 2 problems I have no idea how to start a conversation and he may or may not have a GF. Like I once think I saw them hold hands and on facebook her profile picture was picture of them both in a classroom. The thing that confuses me is that he looks at me alot. Me and him usually make alot of eye contact at lunch and today i was walking in the cafe and I saw him watching me out of the corner of his eye. What does this mean I'm confused?

 

Hey girlie,

First thing you have to do is figure out whether he's single or not. If he has a GF, he is off limits! If that's the case, you should only get to know him as a friend and try not to let your crush get in the way. If he's single though, go for it! Chat on Facebook when you're both online. Smile at him as you pass in the halls. Compliment him in class on his awesome new leather jacket. Ask him a question about the basketball game this weekend since he's on the team. Basically, get creative and find those little excuses to strike up a convo! It doesn't have to be an amazing chat and it doesn't have to last long - you just want to put yourself on his radar so these convos can happen more often and you can grow closer together! Smile

there's this guy i like but i don't talk to him very much. (i'm really bad at initiating conversations) i have tried to convince myself to get over him, but every time it starts to work, he'll do or say something that gets my hopes up all over again! this past week or so, every time he see's me he tells me i look like i'm having a blast in a dramatically sarcastic tone and it's really starting to get me angry because i don't need my unhappiness pointed out, you know? and part of the reason i am unhappy sometimes is because i can't get over him but i can't think of anything to say to him and then he has to go and say stuff like that and i know he doesn't mean it to be a jerk, i hope, but like i said, it's annoying. please help if you can!!!

My mom and I are very close. We can talk about anything and we have a very honest relationship. My mom is my best friend. I have a notebook, and a set of pens. My mom and I write in the notebook every night. I write a page of questions, she answers them, and then she writes a page of questions and I answer them. It helps us get closer and stuff. I like doing it but my friends think it's baby-ish to like being with your mom. What should I do?

Everyone's relationship with their parents is different, and I don't think this is babyish at all! It's great that you have an open and honest relationship with your mom - it's great to have a parent that you trust, who you can talk to about anything. Teen years aren't easy for all sorts of reasons but, with mom's support and love, you'll be in great shape Smile It's important to have balance, so make sure you spend time with your besties your own age as well. But there's nothing wrong with having mom as one of your close friends! <3

There is this one guy who is in a lot of my classes and he is constantly bugging me. He is always saying he loves me in a really stupid voice and keeps saying he is my boyfriend. I've tried ignoring him but he just wont stop! What should I do?




Hey girlie,

I know it sounds like a tattle-tale move, but it could really help if you talked to your teacher(s) about the guy who is bugging you. They could help assign his seat away from yours or at least be on the lookout for rude behavior from him. It might also help to FIRMLY stand up to him if you reach your breaking point - turn to him and say, "You need to knock it off NOW. I'd love to be friends but this is getting to be too much. Stop spreading rumors and stop harassing me. I'm tired of it and it needs to stop." If you're strong and say how you feel to him, then walk away, you'll leave him with something to think about - that the joking around isn't actually helping him get closer to you. It's only pushing you away <3
