Easy fix? Bring a ribbon in ur hand bag- see someone with the same dress? Wrap and tie the ribbon around your waist to make an instant belt- cute and do able! And obviously problem solved!

Re re mod mod mod,I did and they said the only thing I'm allowed to wear is CLEAR lip gloss they said it would be "shiny" when at our dances it's very dark,so it's not fair,they then started throwing a big fit saying, "you're in 7th grade!! Noone in 7th grade wears makeup,only sluts and brats!!" when EVERYBODY wears makeup EVERYDAY!! It's not fair! Lynae P.

My parents said I’m not allowed to date or wear makeup until I’m 16!!! And Im in junior high and my school has a dance for EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING!!! What can I do?!?!?!? I’m not allowed to date or wear make up,how am I gonna go to the dance?!?? And all my friends can!! So I have no one to dance with!!! Help!!!!

Try asking your parents if you can wear just a little bit of makeup. You have to start somewhere. If you're not allowed to wear makeup to the dance, it's OK. You'll still look amazing! Plus, dancing with someone is not the same as dating!

Hey girl! Sounds like you need to let her get over it on her own. Of course she's mad- you invaded her privacy. You would be mad if the situation was reversed. MOD MOD MOD There's something wrong with me. I've been through phases where I was always upset/crying/cutting when I was alone, believing I was depressed because of problems at home/I wouldn't feel good enough. Well, that time has passed...I mean, I often still feel not good enough/pretty enough/funny enough/social enough to deserve company. But now I don't even want company, it's different now. I don't CARE anymore, like I'm not motivated to even talk to people. I've probably lost like 15 friends this summer because I haven't bothered to keep in touch/talk to them, because I don't care anymore. I don't really consciously always want to die or stop living or whatever, but I feel like sometimes I do things that could hurt me, like walk out into the street without looking, stuff like that, and I almost feel..disappointed I didn't get hurt...or worse... Because I don't CARE anymore. What's wrong with me? What do I do? I'm scared to call suicide hotline..

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD! Okay so i'm about 16 now and it just hit me that my generation will be the last to remember 9/11 other than those that remember it will just become a lesson in a textbook. Well anyway, even though i didn't lose anyone in my direct family in 9/11 i feel like i did or that i knew and lost everyone in those towers, the pentagon, and on united 93. i cry so hard just thinking about it and it is making me go insane especially around sept. 11 (obviously). do you have any advice as to how i can manage the tears or the feelings? because last year i ended up hugging and crying with some woman at the memorial who i didn't know and she asked who i had lost and i just said "everyone and no one." PLEASE HELP!

 

 

Hey chica! It's completely normal to feel the emotions that you do about 9/11. When I think about it, I can get upset, too. The best thing you can do is talk to someone about how you feel. Don't keep it bottled up inside, because then you'll go crazy. While there's nothing that could really make you feel better about it, at least someone is there to listen to how you feel!

You can quit worrying-- the only way to get pregnant is by having sex. A public pool never got anyone pregnant. If you can't stop worrying though, you can always buy a pregnancy test. And I'd stay away from inviting that friend to the pool...

i really need your help!!! how do u get rid of pimples and fast?like overnight!! I have my semi formal at school tomorrow and i have 3 or 4 pimples on my forehead near my eyebrows! Ive tried putting zit cream on it and also warm water but that doesnt help...what should i do?????!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably won't get results overnight, but pimple cream and salicylic acid really do work wonders over time! You should also talk to your mom about getting pro advice from your doctor or a dermatologist.

I have four warts on my hands and it's really embarrassing! They're really noticeable and ugly! I told my cousin and she was completely grossed out and said, "I'm glad I'm not you right now" it hurt a lot and I'm afraid all my friends will do that too. I starting to be less out going and I'm afraid my warts are hurting more than my hands. Help please, I need advise!

It might be smart to go to your doctor for professional advice, since warts are stubborn! The warts might be on the outside, but don't let it affect you on the inside! Everyone has "blemishes" they aren't proud of - freckles, zits, warts, birthmarks, rashes, whatever. You're not alone! Be yourself and don't draw attention to the warts by changing your whole personality. The best way to deal with this kinda thing is to calm down, be true to yourself, and your true friends will stand by you! <3

If you have fun with her sometimes and think there's a chance to fix the relationship, tell her that the way she treats you hurts your feelings, and that you don't like when she picks on other girls and calls them names. She may not realize she's being mean, so if she says she'll try to be more considerate, give her the benefit of the doubt and see how things go! But if she blows you off and doesn't take the conversation seriously, you might want to find some other girls to spend time with.

Hey girl,

You are already one step ahead - you KNOW that this is unhealthy and you know it's wrong to express yourself this way. First, try to figure out what is triggering this pain. Is it body issues? A bad breakup? Someone in your life making you feel bad? School pressures? A mix of a bunch of things? Whatever it is, try to come up with a way you'll replace the behavior of cutting when you feel negative emotions. Instead of cutting, write in a journal, paint, listen to music, go for a jog, call a friend on the phone, etc. Replacing the urge to harm yourself with a more positive, productive activity can really help you realize you are worth SO MUCH MORE than you think you are. You're beautiful babe, and you're super strong. You can do this! And most of all, you NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE. Talk to a trusted adult like a parent, teacher, counselor, clergy person, aunt, uncle, grandparent, friend's parent, etc.

You could always try semi-permanent hair dyes or highlights to enhance the color without a lot of commitment! You could also focus on wearing colors that work well with red hair - deep greens, navy blue, crisp white, and dark berry red would all help make your hair look more vivid red Smile

It's okay if you don't know many people there because you can always make friends, so don't let that be a set back. My best advice is to just do the best that you can. They can't fault you for trying your best and, if you think about it, doing the best you can do is the only thing you can do. If you don't get it, it's okay, just think of it as it wasn't meant to be and there are other options for you out there. I’m sorry to hear you are having lower back pain! Lower back pain can be the result of many things including poor posture and the different positions you sleep in at night. It is impossible to tell exactly when you are going to get your period, but be patient as it will happen eventually Smile

Those leggings are super cute! I think a number of things would look cute with them. You could always start by paring a longer black shirt or tank top with them like the girl has in the picture. You could also make it edgy by wearing some type of graphic tee or rock/hip hop tee with it. If you took this route, you could pair it with some Doc Martins to complete the edgy look. If you are going for a more feminine look, you could pair it with a white shirt and a blazer of any color (I think black would look best). Hope this helps doll!

i have this friend that lives just down the street from me and she wants to have sleepovers a lot. we are good friends but the truth is our sleepovers always end up being really boring and she can be kinda frustrating sometimes...she just sent me a text asking if i wanted to have a sleepover tonight. What should i say???? we are already going for a walk together today, and we will probably hang out tomorrow because we live so close, but i dont really want to have a sleep over (and i dont really like saturday sleepovers anyway because then you r always tired for school). This and yesterday are the only two times you told you’ve said no about having a sleepover, compared to all the other times you’ve had sleepovers with her, so she shouldn’t be too mad. okay so I'm planning to get my ears re-pierced (on the low lobe) for the third time. The first time I got it pierced in got infected, and the second time I got it pierced it closed up. I'm not playing any sports right now, so I want to get it done before my summer sport's season starts up. Is there a better chance that it will work this time around, or not a good chance? Also, is there any DIY stuff I can do to prep my ears so I might be successful this time? I'm not nervous about the actual piercing and the pain, I'm just worried that it won't stay this time again. Hey fallsb-ball, they do say the third time is the charm, so hopefully everything will go smoothly this time. I’ve read that it’s good to avoid caffeine and eat a light meal 2 hours before your piercing. Be sure you get sleep and that your ears are nice and clean. Once you get the piercing be sure you do everything you’re supposed to. Since you’ve already had it done twice you know what to do. Hope this helps! Xoxo

My best friend is amazing and really caring and nice. And when the 8th grade finally had autitions for the 9th grade leadership team for next year she was all excitied. I knew she would make it because her application was perfect and she nailed the interview. But when they posted the people who made it she wasnt on the list. I felt horrible and i knew how bad she wanted this. She wasnt on the bus that afternoon and wouldnt answer my texts. She hasnt been in school for the past week and i cant get a hold of her. I really want to cheerher up but i dont know how, she wont answer and I want to make sure everythings ok.

ok so i used to have acne, i dont anymore, but i still hve these ginormous black marks left over. I hve 3 big ones on my face, and i cant get rid of them!! Whenevr i use cover up, it looks flaky and it doesnt cover much, any tips on how to apply cover up so it doesnt look flaky and covers a lot? And any tips on how to get rid of the marks completly?? If your concealer is too dark, try using a powder foundation with a concealer brush over the spots. But tons of companies have serums, lotions and face washes for getting rid of dark spots, so head to your local beauty store and talk to the salespeople about finding a product that's right for you!

MOD  I really need help! My best friend cuts. ALOT. Today me and my other friend had to doctor her during PE cuz she was bleeding we cleaned her arm amd covered it with band aids

It sounds like your friend needs to get some professional help, stat! It's great that you want to help, but you need to suggest that she speak to a trusted adult, such as a family member, doctor, guidance counselor, teacher, etc. If she doesn't want to go, you could tell your guidance counselor or parents. Even if she's mad at first, she will thank you for telling them later if her safety is in danger!
