MOD MOD MOD Okay two things:
1) I really, REALLY want to start to eat healthy during lunch, which is the hardest. Any suggestions for me to pack in my lunch box that doesn't take too long?
2) I just got contacts, but I'm kinda scared to put them in my eye! I have to wait a little while (a couple weeks) because of allergies and itchy eyes. Any advice on this...?

Hey girlie,

1. Try packing salads in Tupperware containers with the salad dressing in a container on the side. Sliced veggies with ranch dip is also tasty, plus yogurt, soups, granola bars, fruits like bananas or grapes or apple slices, lunch meat sandwiches with light mayo/cucumbers/on whole grain bread, etc. Try to make good choices and bring a well-rounded lunch - a lunch with lots of small portions of healthy stuff is better than bringing a huge portion of something that isn't as healthy, like pasta or fried/fast foods Smile

2. You'll get used to how they feel as you use them more often! I use contacts too and I remember the first time I got them, I was SO scared of the feeling when they "stick" to your eye. It felt kinda like a tiny bit of suction and it really freaked me out. But the more I used them and the more I got used to it (putting them on my eye, rolling my eye a little so it sealed easy and didn't pop back out), it got soooo easy I can do it without even really thinking about it Smile Give it some time and you'll feel better about it, promise!

Hey girl,

YES! Please check out our Giveaway of the Day rules to find out what to do if you haven't received your prize after 4-6 weeks. Please note we do not accept responsibility for any prizes if you have not contacted us in 12 weeks so, since January was more than 12 weeks ago, we can't guarantee that we'll be able to help. But it's worth a try <3

ok so my hands get super sweaty! im in a play for school and i have to hold a guy's hand but my hands get all sweaty so i pull my sweatshirt sleave over my hand during practice, but i dont know what to do for the play, also we have a jr high dance coming up and when i have my hands on a guy's shoulders, they still get all sweaty!! my mom says it is part of puberty but that there is something i can do to make it stop for a little bit. do you know what i culd do? thanks!! oh and im noty nervous or stressed or anything, and it also happens when we hold hands in church and stuff, so its not being nervous about guys or anything! thanks!!

Hey babe,

Check out this article about sweaty hands. Turns out, this is TOTALLY normal! The best thing to do is calm down, because stressing out can cause us to sweat more - even if you're not stressed about holding hands - you're thinking about the sweat and worrying about it, so it works you up. Take deep breaths and, if you have questions about the sweat (if it's getting to be REALLY bad), ask your doctor Smile

I have a period sitch:/ my mom won't let me wear tamponsFrown its my 4th period and it's swimming season:/ Also in August I have a cruise,That goes to the beach:/ she said I can't swim when I'm on my period(since I "can't" wear tampons) any help to how to get her to let me? I'm 12 years old she says she wants to wait till I'm older but its MY body!!!! She said she wants to do a little research but I bet you she forgot about it:/ also I have to show pigs and it feels like I wet my pants especially when it squirts out:/ any ideas?

Hey Girlie,

There's no "right" age to wear a tampon! You should sit down with your mom and tell her exactly what you just told me: That it is YOUR body and that you want to swim and avoid embarrassing moments when something leaks! Sometimes parents want to hold on to the idea that their little girl is always going to be that little girl... But you are growing up and the fact that you have your period is a sign that you're turning into a women! Maybe you both can go see a doc and talk about the situation! I'm sure a doc can take your mom's worries! Hope this helps Smile
