this is sorta off subject, but since we are talking about healthy foods, i might as well bring this up. sugar makes it VERY hard to lose weight, causes diabetes, makes us obese and etc. etc. etc... but you can alter the bad effects of sugar with fiber and protein. Beans are very high in fiber and protein, thus making them great to use in brownies to help altar the affects of sugar on us. my mom found this AMAZING recipe for black bean brownies! i love them so much... i know it sounds gross... but all of my friends who love sweets also love these brownies... so just give it a try, you may like them, you may not, but it's worth a try. 1st of all, i am verrry sorry for modding so much. it REALLY improves my life tho!!! 2. i am overweight and need to lose weight. i play no sports cuz i missed soccer sign up for spring and volleyball isnt till fall, so i try to work out by riding my bike almost every day. someone told me that if i run a lot, and get good at it, running will make me feel good and i can lose weight. but theres 2 problems with that! 1. i HATE running and completely suck at it. 2. if i run and work out, my mom will think im wierd! im only 12 so u would think that i shouldnt be worrying about this, but trust me i need to lose wieght. should i join track to make me a better runner?? i need to lose wieght becuz being fat really lowers my self-confidence about goign to school and-most importantlly-going swimming! thats the reason i dont do swim team! the swimsuits make me look fat! i am so frustrated and would TOTALLY appreciate if you would andswer all these questions. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

That's totally true about running - you might hate it now, but it's only because you're out of shape and you can't do it for very long without getting tired. But if you slowly work up your endurance, you could end up really loving it! Running and exercise in general makes us feel healthy, clears our minds, and gives us really good perspective on life. But like I said, that's exercise in general - so you don't have to ONLY try running! Do something fun, like kickboxing, swimming, biking, pilates, Zumba, etc. If you choose something fun, you'll be more likely to stick to it! Plus, exercise isn't the only thing you have to do to lose weight - you need to combine this with a healthy, well-balanced diet full of fruits, veggies, plenty of water, lean meats, and WAY less fast food/junk food. If you really commit to it and remind yourself of the goal, you'll feel GREAT! Smile
