Okay so theres this guy that ive been kind of friends with and my best friends are good friends with him. Well im really nice to this guy, but no matter what hes mean to me! I havent done anythin to him! He use to call me a whore, or ugly or shove me in the halls, but i would shake it off because I felt as if he just was teasing me. But this time he went too far. Its the end of school and i let him sign my yearbook and he said you have no friends and no one will ever like you. I got so mad and i wouldnt talk to him but he would just keep laughin. I DIDN'T do ANYTHING yet he still says these mean things where at this point, i want to punch him! Not literally though lol PLEASE HELP! xoxo

If you have tried ignoring this and it isn't working, DON'T just sit by and let it happen! This is mean, hurtful, and yes - it's bullying. First off, remember you're not alone: read our bullying articles (http://www.girlslife.com/tag/how-to-deal-with-a-bully.aspx) so you can get some tips on how to deal. If you're feeling overwhelmed, tell someone. Talk to your best friends and tell them you love them, but you can't be around him anymore - he's just too hurtful and he makes you too angry. It's ok if you aren't friends with EVERYONE your besties love! Maybe they can split their time (some with you, some with him) so you can stay away from him. Talk to your parents or a trusted teacher too - they can help you get these negative feelings out, come up with strategies on how to ignore him/show him he isn't making you upset. Because that's what he WANTS, after all - so if you shrug it off or roll your eyes, he'll get annoyed and will probably stop because it isn't working like he hoped <3 Hang in there girl, he does NOT have the power to ruin your school experience/experiences with your friends. Be strong!

I like this guy in 8th Grade, but he is graduating this Saturday. I don't know what to do, because nobody knows I like him, and I haven't talked to him before. I am really shy, so that makes it worse, and I'm not sure if he likes me back! I see him all of the time in the halls, and I'm not sure if he's dating someone else. At the last dance he was dancing with girls in his grade, because it was the last dance of the year. I don't know what do do... Can you please help me???? THANKS!!!

 

Hey girl, try to find him on Facebook, or maybe go to the graduation and be sure to tell him congrats! Just try and talk to him before he graduates so he knows you're interested.

So i like this guy, and he's well.... Shy.
He doesn't show much emotion or seem to have interest in a love life, but....
When i told him that i liked him, he seemed really happy (in his own way)and smiled at me.
Of course he didn't say anything to me, but that was the first time i saw him smile to someone who wasn't his best friend.
Now that school's over for me, I want to get us to know each other better (and even get him to teach me how to play tennis.
Any ideas on how i can... well...
get him to not be shy around me? (and better yet, like me?)

Way to be gutsy and share you're feelings! That's awesome. If you're trying to get to know him better you're definitely going to need his number. Send him a friendly text and ask him what his summer plans are. He won't be as shy once he gets to know you better. Ask him about his tennis career. When did he start playing? Does he do any camps? Would he be a good teacher? Have fun!

I really need new clothes but my mom doesn't take me shopping! And the last time she did, she made me cry cause she made me feel bad about myself and made me feel like I was fat. How do I talk to her? I play soccer and volleyball but I only have 3 pairs of shorts and they are never clean! How do I tell her I really need new clothes that fit? She always takes my 3 other sisters shopping but never me! Please help! Thanks!

Hey girl,

If your mom doesn't wash your shorts, ask her to teach you to do laundry so you can wash them yourself. And explain to her (calmly) that you were hurt by her comment the last time you were shopping, she will probably apologize! Ask if you can do some chores around the house to earn a shopping trip. If you work for it, she will be more likely to say yes!
