Hey girlie,

It should be saved as a Word document or pasted in the body of your email. As long as you're able to do that, you can write it on whatever system you want. And it could be based on real life - just make sure you get creative and make the story your own!

Can I base my story on something that actually happened?

Of course! Books, movies, and TV shows that are "based on a true story" are really common - but make sure you aren't simply telling us what happened. Ya gotta make it your own!

Hi, I was wondering if we were allowed to be anonymous in the contest. I would be okay putting my first name and age, but if I win I don't really want to put a picture of myself nor my last name for privacy reasons. Would I still be able to get published if I did not want to do that? Please give me as much information as you can!

We'd never put your last name out there--just your last initial, so don't worry about it! As for your picture, we don't ask for one--is this a prize on the website? As long as you fill in all the required information (last name may be included) you'll be in the running because if you win we need to know your last name so we can send it to you!

Ok PLZ answer I have to get off the computer in 10 mins 0.0 So anyway when I first read this, I thought double spacing meant an extra space between each word. Now seeing all these comments, I know better. Anyway, I already finished my story and double-spaced it correctly. Is it ok, though, if there are 2 spaces between each word (it looks like this not this)??? Thanks so much pleaase hurry! Lynae P.
