The most important thing is to make sure that those who were close to her know that if they ever need you, you're there for them. If they feel sad or depressed about it, they also need to know that it's not their fault. From my own personal experience of my best friend dying in a car crash my 8th grade year, I personally still don't feel comfortable talking about it and it's been 2 and a half years. When I was dealing with depression from my friends death, my mom told me it was my own choice to be unhappy and my sadness was my fault. You need to make sure that your friends understand that any feelings of sorrow and depression are not their fault, as they're a natural part of dealing with death. Everyone grieves in their own way, so it might be a good idea to let your friends deal with it in their own way. Just make sure that the people that were close to the girl know that you will always be there to help them in whatever ways they need, whether it be for advice, listening, or crying.

MOD MOD MOD!!!
I feel bad because I haven't been on this site in like forever but I really need help...a few days ago I was raped by my bestest (guy) friend...(he did not ejaculate but there could have been pre-ejaculate but I am not sure) I finally told my parents the day after (the guilt was eating me alive) and they took me to the hospital and the police were called and all that stuff..it's just that I'm scared I'm pregnant. I had to take the plan B pill but my gut feeling is just not going away...do you think it's really my gut feeling or is it my mind playing games with me...?? thank you so much<3

Hey girl,

I'm so sorry that happened to you! You should talk to your parents about visiting your doctor to see about a pregnancy test, and it is probably a good idea to ask your parents about seeing a counselor either at your school or through an outside counselor for what you are going through. You definitely did the right thing to tell your parents, and you should not feel guilt because it is not your fault at all! For additional help, you should check out this post, which has free hotlines and advice you can reach out to. http://www.girlslife.com/post/2008/08/04/HELP!2.aspx

MOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay so there was this guy last year at my school who was really cute and nice and stuff but I didn't know him that well. And he switched schools to a private school. But I got to know him a little better at this carnival i went to and i've been texting him a lot on my friends phones because i got mine taken away. He told my friend he likes me and he knows I like him, and he wants to ask me out. I'm not really allowed to date, but I might do it in secret. I'm leaving for camp for a month next wednesday. He told my friend he was going to ask me out on monday because we are hanging out with some friends. Should I say yes?!????????!!!!! please help!!!!!!!!!

Hey girl,

It's up to you whether you say yes, though of course I would recommend to obey your parents' wishes to gain their trust! If you won't have cell reception at your camp, there probably won't be a way for you two to talk, so it might be better to wait until you come back. But it's up to you!
