Finally, some respect for Synchro! I love travelling nationally and internationally, some benefits of Synchro(plus you can get a great bod;)) All my friends thought it was easy until I showed them videos/pics and brought them to a free lesson The easiest moves were hard for them, and I gained much more respect for what I doBut thanks for recognizing Synchro on Girls' Life! It sucks how they barely broadcast it.

Girls Life, could you please do an article or at least a mention of rhythmic gymnastics? It receives barely any attention in America compared to Europe, but a mention would likely inspire girls to start, even in a recreational. IEven though most are too old to start a competition program, it s a really great workout too.It's an amazing sport that's acrobatics with apparatus. It recieves barely any media compared to artistic gymnastics, and gymnasts like Jordin Wieber. Julie Zetlin, the only american in 4 years is going to compete in London this year. There are tons of videos about it on youtube if any of you don't know.I do the psort and it is frustrating to explain it every time someone asks me what it is. If you can, please shine a light on it..

I agree, they never show those sports. And if they ever do, they will cut out most of the routine to go to commercial or to show a "real" sport like soccer. A sport is a sport. If you have the honor of going to the olympics, then you should at least get the garauntee that you will be shown on television.

I love Micheal Phelps, I hope he does well. Plus I love the eye candy with the male swimmers, they have unbelieveable gorgeous bodies and then when you put them in a tiny speedo, melt!

I'm a syncronizied swimmer and I love it last year I won second @ our overall meet syncro is soooo much fun! I just learned how to do a double ballet leg and perfected my flamingo!

Synchronized swimming is one of my favorite Olympic events! I can never manage to do it, though. But my sister and I still love to try!

I love synchronized swimming!!! I have tried to do it, but I can't get it very well! So, yeah, I know it's not easy! Very fun to watch. However, I'm a dancer, and I just wanted to comment that musical theatre dancers get most of their points for grinning like an idiot, or whatever expressions fit the dance. But I do love Synchro!

Hey guys. If you think synchronized swimming doesn't get enough credit (witch it doesn't) then lets take a moment and think about dressage. I bet most of you haven't even heard of it let alone care about it. At least most of us know what synchronized swimming is. Dressage is a sport where a rider and a horse are given a series of movements that they are expected to preform perfectly. While holding perfect posture and keeping your horse on the correct bend and all.

YAY FINALLY SOMEONE WHO LIKES SYNCHRO! I'm a synchronized swimmer and people always tell us it's "easy" and we're like "Yeah tell us that when you can hold your breath for 2 minutes" or "Sure why don't you execute a perfect hybrid for us?" Synchro is literally like my life LOL.

When I saw this article in Girlslife Magazine I flipped out! I highlighted the "glitter" part and a few other parts and posted it on my Synchro team's "Inspiration/News Wall." Everyone thought it was GREAT! Thanks Karen! I absolutely ADORE synchronized swimming. My school team IS A FAMILY, its crazy fun to write and perform routines, and going to state is about the funnest thing ever.
