Check this article out for a GREAT braces guide Smile There are some tips on here that you can keep in mind when you go to get your braces. And remember - the GL gal who wrote to us with this question was totally freaked about getting braces, but there's no reason to be! Lots of tweens and teens turn into bracefaces for a few years, but you're gonna end with a goooorgeous smile Smile So worth it!

I've got a problem. I was on my front porch and I had my iPod Touch because I was listening to music and I set it down on this mini table that we have. My iPod fell off and it cracked. It still works, but I don't know how to tell my mom. How should I start the coversation? When should I tell her? Please help!!




Hey girlie,

Ugh, don't you wish they didn't make those screens so delicate?! I've been there with my iPhone - I dropped it onto the sidewalk three weeks after I got it. I felt so sick when I picked it up and saw it all smashed! If yours is only a little bit cracked, it's no big deal (because like you said, it still works), but if it's really smashed up, it's actually not safe for you to keep using it. The glass could come off in pieces, which could hurt you! Just go up to mom and start off with apologizing - "Mom, I am so so sorry, this is completely my fault and I feel awful about it." Then show her the screen. Understand that you might not be able to get a new one right away or get it fixed (because even getting the screen replaced will cost some cash), but be straight with mom. She'll appreciate the honesty - and that you learned a lesson from this sitch <3
