I've been there, done that. A couple months ago, I got a concussion, and it lasted quite a while. All the symptoms listed were ones that I had, plus I was unbelievably cold all the time. However, a week after I got it, I did a figure skating show. If you think you have a concussion, please take your time getting back into things, at least a month. Rest and staying inside is the best thing you can do for yourself. However, my concussion healed between may and june. I still have memory problems. What does that mean?

ugh. I tried doing a handstand cuz my sis is always doing them and I was trying to show that i could do them too. I fell on my head (HARD) and I think I got a concussion. Now I know that my sis can do wat my sis can do and i can do wat i can do. Otherwise known as I'm definitley not trying again... at least for a while.

At our school a new rule was established that all athletes in high-impact sports (basketball, softball, baseball, football, and wrestling) are to be taught the signs and symptoms of a concussion through a guide by their coach and have to sign the packet in order to play. I think it's a really great idea and that all schools should have to do this. It only takes like 20 minutes to go over and can really be helpful if you ever do get a concussion.

This is the only thing I don't like about basketball. You're not protected at all, and there is quite a bit of physical in it. No helmet, pads, or anything. Just a uniform, and your bball shoes. At one of my bball tournaments two girls butted heads, and since my mom is a nurse, she had to go help, and she lost her vision, and had a huge headache, and had to be taken to the hospital where she ended up being fine.

My boyfriend and a friend of mine at school hit heads during flag football. Both had a concussion, but only my boyfriend went to the hospital. The other boy fell out while he was in the parking lot and then had to be helped into the car, but still wasn't taken to the hospital. The next night he had a seizure and went into what was believed to be cardiac arrest. They flew him out to Children's where they found a skull fracture. He had so much brain damage that he was a vegetable and would have had to live on a machine all his life, so they pulled the plug and he passed away. It took an amazing person out of our school district, out of a community, out of a family and my boyfriend is left feeling he murdered him. Our town is so small, nearly everyone knew him and now he's gone. Please pray for his family and my boyfriend, on which the toll of the young man's death has taken its greatest effect.

I had a concussion once but it wasnt from playing sports. I got knocked over when i wasnt looking and i fell on the blacktop and got a concussion at school. Thats probably the worst place to get a concussion.
