That isn't fair! Yes they should know better! But that doesn't mean the school gets a right to kick the girls out!
They cant help the change of appearance that comes with pregnancy! Maybe, If the schools had a special class for parenting, They would realize how hard it is to care for another living soul! I believe The school should kick out the boy who got the girl pregnant! It is a natural occurrence for the female body to have the baby! They can't help it! IT IS NOT FAIR!IT IS THE BOYS FAULT!Where is the government? Where is Obama? The Schools Policy is Stupid, Outrageous, Rude, And Lets just say.......A DISGRACE TO FEMALE EDUCATION & FEMALES ALL OVER THE U.S.A!
by GirlsRule12345 on 7/13/2013 4:52:13 PM
That is stupid the girl would be humiliated and what about the boy who got her pregnant
by girly girl07 on 5/13/2013 8:45:29 PM
That is soooo unfair. That is totally not girl-friendly!I'm think that this is going to ruin her education& social life. I think that it should be illegal to be FORCED to take pregnancy test, that isn't the school's business. Plus girls who are pregnant should still have the right to go to school. I think the government should take care of this soon.
by Snowee533 on 4/20/2013 4:34:44 PM
honestly i think the idea is crazy, but the people getting pregnant in the first place are the crazy ones. if girls waited until after marriage to have sex and have children there would not be this problem.
by aleafofcool on 2/18/2013 4:33:48 PM
What about the boy whose baby she will have? If he is part of the school, would he be kicked out? No. Plain and simple: they don't want bad P.R. so they kick out the one that would be obviously noticed. If a girl is impregnated by a boy, who will get in more trouble? The girl. Just because it is her appearance that changes with pregnancy.
by The.musician.98 on 1/26/2013 11:15:53 PM
That's ridiculous! What if she was raped? Then she'd be traumatized, have a kid, and wouldn't even be able to go to school.
by SelG4Ever on 1/23/2013 3:43:03 PM
This is wrong on so many levels
by rainbowssparklesdesu on 11/23/2012 3:58:30 PM
They shouldn't be able to make girls take pregnancy tests. Girls have rights Hannah H.
by I Luv Carson on 10/16/2012 4:41:48 PM
What if the girl got sexually assaulted? What if she's not pregnant and her parents just wasted all that money on a test and doctor's appointment just to prove to the school bthat she wasn't? that school needs to stop sticking their nose in girl's personal business!
by lms229 on 9/11/2012 5:27:44 PM
I know she was trying to influence me and she did. But a family friend who is a nurse said I would be amazed about how many girls my age are sexually active and who are doing it without protection and about the older guys they are having sex with and how many of them have stds. And I guess this school doesnt give out FREE condoms but they let you have 1 FREE pregnancy test.
by fashionqn on 9/9/2012 11:09:12 PM
Sure what these girls did is dumb and irresponsible but that is COMPLETELY horrible! Every girl deserves an education! What...o man the girl has a kid and she isn't allowed to learn and go to school? Horrible.
by BabyDahl13 on 9/4/2012 6:44:45 PM
I can understand why they did it (teenage pregnancy is disgusting once you think about it), but they took it too far. Getting pregnant 4 years earlier than you should has nothing to do with school, and vice versa. No wonder it's federally illegal.
by peppercyndaquil13 on 9/1/2012 9:03:34 PM
If the school says shes the one shaming her community, what about the boy. He was involved. Her deserves this as much as she does. This is such a sexist issue! Because he is the "man" doesn't mean they should lighten his load! Kick him out of school and make him work with the women he chose and the child who is 50% him! On the teen mom shows the guy leaves to "better his life". And the parents support him! If shes shaming her community so bad, they should say he made it burn in flames! I dont see anything being right about telling a girl you love them having uprotected sex and then leaving because you are overwhelmed!
by sfluv on 8/31/2012 12:27:43 AM
Thts sad. I know teen pregnancy isnt the best choice, but what if a girl didnt want to be pregnant, like sexual assault or something.
by ColosalMascara on 8/30/2012 11:08:05 AM
Pregnant or not, every girl deserves the right to a good school education!
by boycrazy4a on 8/29/2012 4:06:07 PM
That is sooo messed up of the school. The principal is humiliating them and making it seem like you no longer have a chance in a good education. It's not like you no longer have a chance in school or life! It's also going to make it harder for the girl to get supported by her friends. When something this scary and downgrading happens to you, you should be able to get as much support as possible, and that includes your school. It's also sexist. Does nothing happen to the guy? Is he just ignored? this is just wrong on so many levels. It should be illegal.
by cityduck on 8/28/2012 10:00:39 AM
I could understand this policy, if it came from a religious school, where they'd consider sex before marriage a sin. But a normal public or private schoool? Come on. What if the poor girl was raped and became pregnant? Very few cases are actually reported, so it could happen. Then, whether she consented or not, she will be called mean names, guys will say she's easy. And what happens to the boy who got her pregnant, if he attends the same school? She wouldn't be pregnant without him!
by smileurastar on 8/27/2012 9:54:53 AM
I don't like this policy because girls are so catty. If they don't like someone, they'll spread a rumor that she's pregnant, and boom. Everybody knows. Then she'll have to take a pregnancy test all because of one catty little girl who can't stand another girl. I hope this doesn't become a nationwide thing. It would be disastrous.

that is so stupid. it's like saying that if your parents are jewish you can't go to that school. it's teaching students being different is wroung. so sorry for that girl being humilated by a princapal. really i thout some people that smart had brains(alking bout pricapal).
by sparkels on 8/21/2012 9:00:49 PM
I think yes and no, taking a pregnancy test might invade a girls privacy, but if it turns out positive, she could be bullied by others. And this could be a huge distraction for her, so she should be homeschooled.
BUT WE SHOULD JUST STICK WITH NOT GETTING PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
by TresSapphire on 8/19/2012 11:52:30 AM
i think it's just plain stupid. yeah it is the student's fault if they get pregnant and yeah it was a mistake, but forcing her to take a pregnancy test is an invasion of privacy and just makes her feel even less supported. at least give her a chance at continuing school!
by myfatsquirrel on 8/18/2012 8:38:48 PM
Isnt this an invasion of privacy, how can they do that? Its seems wrong and sexist and the guys get off without any consequences. Its just not right, could you imagine if the school asked every guy if they were circumcised or not?
Its kind of like that but maybe even worse. They need to change that policy.
by fashionqn on 8/17/2012 11:43:06 PM
I really think that this is kinda stupid, yeah I can kinda see why the school would do this, but it IS discrimination! There should really be someone looking into that.

At my school, they make all the 8th graders take drug tests, they also have a drug dog come and sniff all the backpacks in the entire school. Its kinda weirdin me out a little bit
by purplecupcake411 on 8/11/2012 5:49:57 PM
Ugh! That is so messed up! Some pregnancy tests are wrong anyway! They should get an ultrasound first!

by YayaYuiki on 8/11/2012 3:42:03 PM
I think that it is so wrong that they would kick a girl out for being pregnant! A girl would alredy feel terible that it even happened. Teens getting pregnant isn't the smartest idea, but it shouldn't keep a kid from learning. Girls try to avoid quiting school when they become pregnant, so why would you kick them out? This poor girl was just embarassed in front of her family and friends, not by another student... but the PRICIPAL!! I don't think that this is fair at all! :/
by Madi<3 on 8/11/2012 2:09:32 PM
That policy is just stupid. What if a girl was forced into pregnancy? The teachers or principal don't know the circumstances. I think that girls shouldn't have to take pregnancy tests, and even if she was pregnant, she should still be allowed education rights, such as going to an actual school.
by HayEC98 on 8/11/2012 1:56:35 PM
i think its a reasonable thing to do to kick a girl out of school if they become pregnant. it reflects on the school and honestly who would feel safe having known that girls around you are getting pregnant. it was the right thing to do and the principal is only doing their job:keeping students feeling safe and around people who have good morals
by fearless;) on 8/10/2012 7:27:59 PM
I dont think that this is okay at all. If a girl gets pregnent when she is a teen, its not ideal, but it happens, and she wants to stay in school that is great for her. I dont think that schools should be kicking students out if they would like to continue on with there education. And then there is the case of the fathers, are they kicked out of school, they would have had something to do with it as well.
by cul_4_you on 8/10/2012 2:53:24 PM
Ok, ovbiously teenage precnancy isn't ideal, but the principal shouldnt have the right to force them to take a test. Or kick them out. If she is pregnant it may not be her fault. It should be her decision if she stays in school or not. And if it is just a rumor the girl who started it should be kicked out.
by Miss Nicky on 8/10/2012 1:20:51 PM
I don't approve of teen pregnancy but what if the girl was raped and it wasn't her decision or choice to be in the situation and state she is in? I don't think that rule should be there.
by ssblue on 8/10/2012 12:45:53 PM
Teen pregnancy isn't the best thing in the world. But the person who started that rumor should be kicked out. That's really none of the principals business and kinda personal.
by EddyKala on 8/9/2012 10:03:13 AM
this is horrible. i think this should be illegal. if there is rumors about a girl being pregnant then the person that started the rumor should be the one in trouble and she shouldn't be forced to take the pregnancy test. i disagree all the way with this.

I dislike teen pregnancy, but this is ridiculous. Give those girls they're privacy! And what "Suspected of being pregnant?" Is this their idea of a search warrant?
by Freakout911 on 8/8/2012 9:10:25 AM
This is terrible! Things like this could lead to much worse problems. Such as the girl fnding out and having abortion, or killing herself. She could have also been sexually abused and it could be that she can't help it. She would need encouragement, not punishment! They should have more schools like the one close to where I live in Kentucky. Its a place just for teenage moms. It has a daycare center and high-school/college courses for the girl's needs. They also have bus transportation! They need help and support, not pointless and menacing punishment..
by the new me :) on 8/7/2012 11:13:38 PM
That is horrible, I don't think you should be having kids in high school, but girls like that need encouragement, not judgement. If they get kicked out of school they will probably just give up, but if they were allowed to stay, they could still make something of themselves. Kicking them out could ruin their lives. Daylilly made a really good point, you can't be fired for becoming pregnant, why should you be able to be kicked out of school for it?
by ThornedRose on 8/7/2012 5:14:47 PM
I like the idea about giving girls pregnancy tests but
I think they should choose whether to stay on campus or not. At least they have the opportunity to stay in school and not some other girls who drop out of school because of the baby. These teenage moms have dreams of their own and they have a right to an education
by depacdancer1104 on 8/7/2012 5:13:00 PM
my mom had me in high school and she graduated with a GPA of 4.00 and worked two jobs and took cre of me on her own!! simone s.
by kristadakota on 8/7/2012 4:38:03 PM
being able to bring life into the the world should be something to be proud of, not something that you get kicked out of school for
by juneiscool on 8/7/2012 4:29:18 PM
This is horrible! First of all, there's such a thing as raped, and that is a really terrible expeirience. What if you get pregnant from rape? So not only will you have the terrible memory from the rape, but you're also kicked out of school unless you can prove you're raped? That seems wrong to me, because there are huge statistics of rapes that aren't reported until later, and I once read something about they can't be proven as easily after a long amount of time. Second, you shouldn't be able to kick a student out of school just because she's pregnant. You can't fire workers for that, so you shouldn't be able to expell them. And finally, you shouldn't be forced to just because there's a rumor that you're pregnant! Don't they tell us we shouldn't listen to rumors, and here they are, just believing them? Plus, what if you happen to just have a bigger tummy, then someone starts spreading that around? That's really going to hurt their self esteme.

totally unfair! the guy should get kicked out of school too, especially since they tend to pressure the girls into doing it!!!!!!
by lilipopmlml on 8/7/2012 3:08:04 PM
this is sad its not right to get pregnant at that age, but even if it does happen, the school should try to keep them in school, not kick them out!
by mcw3400 on 8/7/2012 3:03:23 PM
This idea is horrible for them accusing kids of getting pregnant . Some kids make the wrong choice by getting pregnant but it is horrible to make young girls take pregnacy tests.
by OneDirection1843 on 8/7/2012 2:53:34 PM
Oh also some pregnancy test say you are pregnant even if your not.
by monkeygirl.sam on 8/7/2012 2:29:07 PM
It seems wrong to make a girl who gets pregnent leave school or make someone who is suspected of being pregnent take a test. Im against teen pregnancy but its the girls choice most of the time to get involved with it. I think if a girl gets pregnent and has to be kicked out of school then if the father goes to the school he should be kicked out as well its not just the girls fault the guy should be treated the same as the girl is. Also what if the girl was raped? She might be against abortions and then its definently not her fault for being pregnent.
by monkeygirl.sam on 8/7/2012 2:12:37 PM
They have good intentions, but it is sooooooooooooo unfair and sad. D:
by AnnaB1234 on 8/7/2012 1:57:50 PM
It seems so wrong being forced to do that, i would fight the system no mater if i was being accused of being pregnant or not!
by accs1 on 8/7/2012 1:21:48 PM
I can't say that I support teen pregnancy, but either way, this is wrong. As it mentioned in the article, its also illegal. Even so, the policy just plain doesn't make any sense. Shouldn't a girl who DOES become pregnant be even further encouraged to stay in school? So that she'll have more opportunities and be able to take care of the baby in the future?
by Kjollie on 8/7/2012 1:12:34 PM

by kstar813 on 8/7/2012 12:15:08 PM
That is absolutely ridiculous! That is an unfair standard to judge a girl by, plus the guy had a part in the pregnancy too! That is horrible and should NOT be legal
by fallsb-ball on 8/7/2012 12:11:46 PM
How is that NOT illegal? You know human rights.... Constitution.... Do these words mean anything to them?! And what happens to the guy that got her that way SO UNFAIR!!!!!!!
by physicschick on 8/7/2012 12:10:34 PM
Thats terrible even though i dont agree with teen pregnancy
by sakura1240 on 8/7/2012 12:02:23 PM
My question is what if the guy doesn't go to that school? there is nothing that the girl's school can do about it then. That's another reason that i think it's dumb to prosecute the girl like that. The guy had a part too. But what if she wanted to have a baby? That is the couple's choice and the school has no right to kick her out for her choice. It would be like kicking a person out of school for not having a certain kind of clothing. It's stupid and a kind of discrimination.I'm glad that i don't go to a school with rules like this cuz like i said yesterday, RUMORS ARE JUST RUMORS usually.
by luvmonkey1313 on 8/7/2012 11:20:02 AM
why would the girl just be in trouble it takes two people to make a baby right
by PolkaDots1999 on 8/7/2012 11:09:40 AM
Yeah, they def shouldn't make anyone take a test just because of a rumor. Thats just unfair. If that happened to me, I would be so so embarrassed. BUT, if the girl is obviously pregnant, than I think she shouldn't be allowed in school. There are way to many pregnant teens, and at least this school is trying to do something, even if it might not be the best way.
by ceahorse on 8/7/2012 11:05:37 AM
That is horrible. If I had to take a pregnancy test I'd say ok then call my dad and mom and have them come down. I would use my cellphone in the bathroom so they wouldn't know then when they get there my dad will probably punch my principal in the face and my mom will rage on him. No one deserves that. I feel horrible for the girls who had to.
by gunqueen2000 on 8/7/2012 10:51:00 AM
that is ridiculous! maybe her pregnancy is just a silly rumor. if not, being pregnant isn't always the girl's fault. she could have been raped while unconcious or thretened to. and if she chose to have that kind of contact, that's her choice. if she still wants an education who is the school to deny her? her personal life has nothing to do with her academic life
by N3rdyRand0mn3ss on 8/7/2012 10:20:29 AM
Wow... whatever happened to public school being for everyone? I do agree that if administrators/ teachers suspect that a girl is pregnant that they should suggest seeing a doctor or whatever else. But they can't just say take the test or you have to leave school. But this doesn't mean that I agree with teen pregnancy...
by Fly1213 on 8/7/2012 10:07:27 AM

I don't support teen pregnancy at all, but seriously? I guess it kind of makes sense if she did it on purpose, but she probably wasn't thinking about using protection, and I feel bad that they would make that descision, but being kicked OUT of school? Too extreme. And also, what if she got RAPED? That is so unfair to kick her out of school, she can't HELP the fact that she got raped!
by WinnieGirlie on 8/7/2012 2:39:00 AM
ok i just want to first say that i am 100% against teen pregnancy. but so what if she's pregnant? she still has the right to go to school and learn the things she needs too. discrimination imo.
by tswiftluver13 on 8/7/2012 1:17:38 AM
that is not fair what so ever!!! my mom always said and i hate this quote "life is not fair"
by smartgirl2 on 8/7/2012 12:15:43 AM
That is so cruel! Teachers are supposed to help you through times like that, but these teachers just make it worse! And what about the guy who did it? It was his fault too. That's just so wrong.
by Em&Em138 on 8/6/2012 11:16:10 PM
What if the girl was raped? Just cause she has the baby makes it her fault?
by myipodrox16 on 8/6/2012 11:10:09 PM
I think it's an food idea to ask the girl to take a pregnancy test but shouldnt be forced and should be be able to talk to other teen moms if pregnant there should also be assembelles where teen parents come in to talk about what it's like to be a teen parent. Of course it should all be voluntary.
by twise8484 on 8/6/2012 10:36:37 PM
I don't agree with teen pregnancy but...
Really, it's the girl's own business. I don't think it's right for for them to be able to force a pregnancy test ona girl who may not even be pregnant. It's not fair and it is discrimination!
I've gone to a private Christian school most of my life so of course one of their rules were that you'd uphold their moral standards and if you didn't and someone found out you'd be expelled but... That was always a rule upfront and kind of to be expected since it was a Christian school...
I think that it's the girl's own business and that this is wrong.
Not cool!!!! :\
by Acutiebookworm on 8/6/2012 10:36:33 PM
What if the girl was raped public schools are for everyone you cant just kick them out im totally against this
by waterfanxd on 8/6/2012 10:35:01 PM

Last year at my cousin's school, there were rumers flying around that she was pregnant. In actuality she wasnt, she has just gained a few extra pounds. But the school told her that if she didn't lose that weight to prove she wasnt pregnant they would make her take a pregnancy test. just throwing that out there.

by deedles1621 on 8/6/2012 8:55:18 PM
That is such crap! That is one of the stupidest things i have ever heard! The parents of kids who go to that school should all ban together and file a lawsuit against the school!
by AvaAva23 on 8/6/2012 8:45:31 PM
In America ur aloud to do whatever you want and public schools are for the PUBLIC you shouldn't be kicked out unless you have a rel reason like they cheated on the sats or omething

by favcolorgreen on 8/6/2012 8:32:30 PM
But I don't think it's right to do this in a PUBLIC school, but it would make more sense in a private school.
by <3myguitar on 8/6/2012 8:28:32 PM
My school has this rule too, but the guy who made her pregnant gets kicked out too,and when it happened to a girl after she had the baby they let her back in.I don't think you can just blame it on the guy anyways. I don't get how you guys can say a girl didn't try to get pregnant. What do they think is going to happen when they have sex? There is also ways to avoid getting pregnant.
by <3myguitar on 8/6/2012 8:26:56 PM
Someone with a grudge could so use this rule to their advantage. That's just one reason why I would hate to go to this school. This rule is totally unfair.just like ohheyitsjennyy said, it might not be the girls fault she's pregnant.
by sharie7 on 8/6/2012 8:06:08 PM
That's just stupid... why would they do that... some people could take advantage of that and accuse a ton of people =P
by music191 on 8/6/2012 7:52:07 PM
That's just wrong. Your school can't make you take a pregnancy test...that's a choice. And kicking the girl out of her school? That's just plain unreasonable. It's not always the girl's fault. And you can't say that 'the girl who becomes pregnant is a girl who doesn’t adhere to the school’s moral code or standards of excellence in character and academics', especially if it's a public school. And I would be furious if I was pregnant and I was told I could no longer go to school, and that I was not 'desirable within the community'. That needs to be changed. If that girl's guardian(s) are paying taxes, she should definitely be allowed to attend public school. Any day, a girl who doesn't like another girl can start a rumor and say the other girl is pregnant. It's wrong to make that other girl take a pregnancy test and go to the doctor. And what if there's a girl, who doesn't have health insurance, and someone starts a rumor about her? That. is. just. wrong. end of rant.
by ohheyitsjennyy on 8/6/2012 7:37:44 PM
I think this is ubsurd and definitly a violation of privacy. You definitly shouldn't be kicked out of school if you ARE pregnant. And the girls aren't always to blame. What if the girl got raped? And if it was the girls fault, they shouldn't kick her out of school, they should try to get her back on track and help her out by keeping her in school.
by lcoleman6 on 8/6/2012 7:37:16 PM
I agree. This is a dumb idea. I think that it should be their choice to get a pregnancy test done. Forcing them to do it is wrong. It could just eb a dumb rumour! And don't thiey thin abut how embarassing it would be if you weren't pregnant?! I mean really come on! And maybe the girl took a pregnancy test on her own and knows that she isn't, then when she doesn't want to have another test done SHE GETS KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL!!!! HOW DID SOMEONE THINK THAT THIS IS RIGHT?!?!?!?!?!?!!
by mschultz8 on 8/6/2012 7:15:20 PM
I THINK IT'S UNFAIR CAUSE I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD STOP THE SCHOOLING FOR THAT GIRL AND IF THEY DO THE DADDY'S SCHOOLING SHOULD BE STOPED TOO CAUSE IT'S MAINLY THE DAD'S FALT.AND I DON'T THINK THAT THE GIRL MEANT TO GET PREGNENT ,SHE JUST DIDN'T WATCH OUT AND GIRLS SHOULN'T BE FORCED TO TAKE A PREGNENCY TEST.SHE HAS RIGHTS SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO IF SHE DOESN'T WANT TO THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY CAUSE I'M SO ANGRY AT HIGH SCHOOLS RIGTH NOW AND I MIGHT GET MEAN
by ANIMAL1214 on 8/6/2012 6:59:33 PM
thre guy is just as responsible just cause he doesn't show signs of getting a girl pregnant doesnt mean he didn't make a child takes 2!
by cutie00 on 8/6/2012 6:27:34 PM
that's so horrible! I don't support teen pregnancy but what kind of teachers bully their own students? And what if a girl's not even really pregnant and they force her to take a bunch of tests? Thats just mean. Someone should really start a petition or something against these people!!!
by nightstrike75 on 8/6/2012 6:24:44 PM
First of all, if they kick out the girl, they need to kick out the guy for GETTING her pregnant. And second of all, just because a girl is pregnant doesn't mean that she shouldn't be allowed to go to school! Forcing pregnancy tests probably makes them feel violated and uncomfortable, and also there are teenage girls who get abortions. But kicking someone out because they're pregnant doesn't benefit anyone- because a lot of the girls will want to stay in school even though they're pregnant.
by kandyko111 on 8/6/2012 6:21:36 PM
that is totally not right yes i dont agree with getting pregnant in highschool but that goes to far you would want them to dis-continue with schooling
But heres the REAL question what if they got raped? it would be against their will to do it so its not really their fault and they would kick them out because of that i mean really?
by jazmine ann on 8/6/2012 6:17:14 PM
this is just wrong.
by Alykat18 on 8/6/2012 6:13:21 PM
OMG! The school shouldn't be allowed to do that! What about the man that got the girl pregnant? does he get kicked out of school too?! the choice was the girls decision to get pregnant in the first place! So leave her alone! Only 70% end up leaving school. What about the 30% that don't?
by kirby<3 on 8/6/2012 6:01:33 PM
by beauty4girls on 8/6/2012 5:55:57 PM
This school's rules are completely out of line. This article says that 70% of pregnant teens leave school. Aren't schools supposed to protect these teens from their classmates' discrimination and help them stay in school? Forcing girls to take a pregnancy test does nothing to help the rumors floating around. It's the girl's own fault if she gets pregnant and the school shouldn't be the one to confirm it. Also, how humiliating would it be to be forced to take a pregnancy test and go to the doctor even if you have never even been sexually active in your life! All just based on a rumor! Think about the talk you would get from your parents when the school called them about that. Even if you weren't actually pregnant!

It's partly the fault of the guy they were with too, but you don't see them getting kicked out of school.
by brownichick on 8/6/2012 5:40:07 PM
Wow. That is just sad. Aren't school districts supposed to promote pregnant girls staying in school? And no one should have the power to have you take a pregnancy test except you! By the time 2020 rolls around, I bet females will be treated exactly how we were before: just baby makers and cooks. Ugh. Administrators disgust me sometimes.
by hamsterluvin on 8/6/2012 5:32:44 PM
They should make them take the test, but honestly it's their fault if they get kicked out. Knowing this policy, DON'T GET PREGNANT!
by chick987 on 8/6/2012 5:30:55 PM
That is the stupidest thing i've ever heard!!! I get that they can get kicked out for challenging the rules cuz that happens everywhere. But if they're forcing girls to get a pregnancy test even if they're not pregnant is stupid. They are forcing girls and their families to spend extra money on a test because of a RUMOR!!! they tell us not to listen to rumors, to just assume the rumors are fake unless we hear the rumor from the person that it's about, and here they are, making girls go get a test because they heard a RUMOR!!!
by luvmonkey1313 on 8/6/2012 5:27:01 PM
That is ridicules. It disgusts me. If a girl does get pregnant, she obviously needs help and for someone to guide her back on the right path. What about rape? This is so stupid. It's none of the school's business about females personal life, and I almost find it a bit sexist. What a stupid rule. That would make no school girl feel safe or happy- at least not me. Ridicules.
by HowToLove on 8/6/2012 5:25:42 PM
What about the guys that get the girls pregnant? They are just as much to blame!

most highschoolers don't choose to get pregnant, it just kinda happens. is a lot of it due to not knowing the proper safety techniques? sure, but what if a girl was raped? and mistakes happen, no one can go they're whole life without doing something stupid and totally screwing up. protection can fail, that's why nothing comes with a 100% guarantee. there have been a decent number of pregnancies at my school, and even if the girl leaves school, she's not looked down upon. i don't know if they're forced to leave, but i don't think so. i think pregnant girls should be allowed to stay in school until they can't. however, they should not be overly accommodated. they should still have to do some sort of gym class, and still have the same amount of time to do everything. this is very fair. obviously, teen pregnancy shouldn't be encouraged. but not because it makes you a bad person, because we're still kids! we aren't ready for all of that.
by the_last_ninja on 8/6/2012 5:20:18 PM
That is rude and sad. I mean just because 70% of pregnent teen girls skip school shouldn't they try to give an education anyway? I feel sad for the girls who got thrown out because of this unfair rule.
by CHAWDER on 8/6/2012 5:16:47 PM
you must be joking. i mean, really! teen mothers NEED to go to school! they need to lear how to support their family! and even if you think she's pregnant shouldn't mean she MUST take a pregnancy test! it's not really the school's (or anyone else's) business! they need to be supporting these girls and helping them! not kicking them to the curb! some people are SO freaking superficial. i mean "doesn't adhere to standards of excellence" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? do they EVER stop to think she maybe was PRESSURED into doing it? or what about her partner? do the guys get punished? NO. how sexist. these kind of people deeply and utterly disgust me.

That is a terrible policy. If a girl is pregnant, her school should do everything they can to keep her IN school, not kick her out. Also, I think policies like this are really sexist. I mean, the father of the baby would be free to attend the school with no consequences. It's not right. Just because the girl is the one to carry the baby doesn't mean she should be the only one punished.
by supersingershannon on 8/6/2012 5:08:43 PM
That is so messed up! They should be able to do that!
by rosiegrl on 8/6/2012 5:04:48 PM
That is seriously messed up! I mean I don't agree with teen pregnancy but it happens and by kicking these girls out they are practically ruining their education & social life. It should also be illegal to be forced to take a pregnancy test... I mean it isn't the school's business anyway! Education is!!! Could you imagine having to start at a new school & along with the pressures of being the new girl you are pregnant. Even if you are the sweetest girl on earth those kids might not know that and might spread rumors and bully her. Even pregnant girls have a right to attend public school and get a good education without ridicule. I mean for petes sake! I feel that the school should definitely have to get rid of that policy and that shouldn't happen in schools anywhere.
by loveyourlife43 on 8/6/2012 5:01:37 PM
Oh my gosh they would kick her out of school if she was pregnant!!!!!!!!! Its bad enough that she just started a new year of school and the rumors about her are floding in and even if she was pregnant they should help her like that 18 year old who was pregnant i know i know that i kinda went off about her being pregnant at that age but they should still help her
by TSfan#1 on 8/6/2012 4:58:02 PM
That's terrible. I thought they were supposed to be helping pregnant girls stay IN school.
and @GirlyChic, quite a few girls in high school get pregnant.
by scamp24 on 8/6/2012 4:48:39 PM
That is so sick. Where do these people get their manners? I mean seriously, they should promote pregnant teens to go to school, not kick them out. And they don't have the right to make the females take pregnancy tests. It's simply unconstitutional.>
by Knerdalicious on 8/6/2012 4:46:04 PM
First of all why would you get pregnant
Those people are sickos
I mean why WHY!!!!
Thats def gross
