So there is this guy and I just started crushing on him. He is perfect! He has the most amazing manners. It feels like he just came out of a romance movie! I think he likes me buuut I don't know. I try to flirt or whatever but I can't ever bring up something to talk about. Plus I'm just nervous and shy around him.!

So there's this guy. I had a thing for him last year when we met. But this year we don't have classes and I haven't really though about him so I lost interest. But he recently flowed me on twitter and he's back in my mind and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like me. But, every time I see him, I get nervous and flustered. I don't know what to do. Please help!

Maybe you could spend some time with him as friends and see how he acts around you then! Try getting to know him by hanging out with him at lunch or after school and having casual conversations and see if he is flirty with you. Good luck chica!

okay, so i'm dating a guy. (he's pretty "popular" on facebook) A lot of girls like him but he doesn't seem to have any interest in them. I don't like him because of his amazing charm (even though that may be part of it(; ) let's just say i've been through a lot in my life.. My parents used to be drug addicts and now i live with my grandparents. The same goes for him too! (except his parents are better now and he spends a lot of time at his granparents). That is something only his closest friends know and i'm glad we can talk to eachother about that stuff.. Anyway, my problem is that some of his friends have told me he only uses girls.. But i feel like it's not like that with me since he can be himself around me and he doesn't try to do stuff with me either. He told me people think of him as a player and that it really bothers him. What should i do? Should i listen to his friends or go with my heart? help,

Since all of that stuff is based on rumors, if you are having a good time with him and he respects you, I wouldn't break up with him just because of what other people are saying! If he starts treating you unkindly you definitely deserve someone better, but I wouldn't let his reputation stop you from a relationship that you enjoy.

The new year means new opportunities to meet guys. My friends and I have agreed to go for it, when we think the right guy comes along. So its more about being bold when it comes to our love life. We cant around and wait for guys, sometimes they dont know when to make the move.

I gotta problem- so you know sometimes you'll like watch a cute movie with like the PERFECT guy in it and you think "are there really guys like that?" and then like you start thinking about that actor a lot even though you know he's playing the role of a character you like-- well anyway, i kinda am like that now- obssessed with certain celebs, that aren't even like the characters but i dream they would be! How do i get over it, cuz when i try i get sad in thinking that maybe there are only guys like that in fictional roles in movies....help!

Okay so right now i'm kinda at a point in my life where i really don't know who i am anymore- very confusing time..... So first of all how do i figure myself out? Like I just don't know anymore....how do i sort out everything?

Don't be so hard on yourself--it's normal to not be sure who you want to become and to change that along the way! Try doing different activities you're interested in, and see which ones you like. If you've always wanted to try scrapbooking, audition for the school play, try out for the basketball team or take a piano lesson, do it and see if you like it! You don't have to have everything figured out yet, and you'll probably change your mind along the way. Just try to do what makes you happy!

One of my best guy friends asked me out a couple weeks ago. Since I'm not allowed to have a boyfriend until I'm 13(in 3 months!), I had to say no. Ever since, he hasn't replied to my texts and unfollowed me on Instagram. I've been noticing that I've been more unhappy and feeling guilty lately because he was such an important part of my life. We go back to school on Thursday, and I really want to talk to him about why I had to say no. What should I do, and how should I get over this guilty feeling? Thanks! ~mck

You don't need to feel guilty about your parents' decision, because that's not your fault at all! I'm sure he's just sad because he liked you, but that's no reason to ignore you! You're right that the best thing to do is talk to him in person, so when you see him just explain to him that you're not allowed to date but still want to spend time with him as friends.

I have one more question. This past year has been full of memorable experiences but for some reason school has been extremely tough for me this year too. I mean I'm a sophomore but why was last year so easy and then suddenly you're expected to act like an adult and are treated like an adult on school? I don't get it. I mean now everybody has such adult high expectations it's bothering me because I have to live up to those. How do I not get so worried? How do I end the school year on a good note and start the new year on a good note?

 

hey girl! transitioning through high school can be tough. just remember to both work hard AND enjoy yourself! it's a precious balance, and one you should definitely aim to maintain. That way you'll be happy! To not get too worried or overwhelmed, keep everything in perspective and don't sweat the small stuff. Also, make sure to not overwork yourself with difficult classes and extracurriculars so you have some extra time to relax. xoxo

1.) I've always wondered this because to me it would be one of the most awkward situations ever. So let's if u had a boyfriend and he says I love you. Love is a pretty strong word right? So if I exactly love that person but like that person what would u say?
2.) sometimes in my free time I'll look at my old dolls and barbies and I'll play w/ them. Believe or not, this may sound crazy but I actually enjoy playing w/ them. Why do I like playing w/ them though? You'd think I'd grow out of them I mean I'm not little anymore. I feel so nostalgic and calm when I play w/ them, why?

Love is a strong word, but it also means different things to different people. But there's no need to rush into saying it if you're not ready, and I'm sure your bf would be perfectly content to hear that you like him. And there's nothing wrong with playing with your old dolls once in a while! It's totally normal to feel calm by the comfort of what you already know, so that's not weird at all Smile
