Will my yeast infection go away by itself?

I’ve noticed an unusual gross smell from “down there.” I think I have a yeast infection, but I’m embarrassed to talk to my mom about...

Help! I have to pee all the time!!! I can barley go half an hour without peeing!!!What do I do to pee less??

Hey girlie, if you're drinking a lot of water throughout the day, that's causing your problem. If you're not then you might have some kind of infection so you should think about seeing a doctor.

I'm going to Hawaii over spring break so I've been eating healthier and exersizing regularly for the bikini weather but my bikini line never looks perfect I don't know exactly how I'm suposed to shave down there or what to do to remove all the hair that would show because I want to be in perfect shape for the beach...? Thanks so much!!!

Hey chica,

It's pretty much the same way that you would shave your legs.  You want to avoid going against the direction of your down there hair though, because your skin is likely to get more irritated if you do.  Personally, I like using Bikini Zone shave gel to keep it from getting red/getting ingrown hairs.

You may want to sit on the ledge of your bathtub to get better control of the razor until you get the hang of it.

So I have had my period for about two years now and I want to try tampons. My mom has never used them and has no experience or information about them (I have asked already) so I am left on my own. So I have some questions: 1. How do you insert a tampon? 2. How do you know when the tampon is saturated enough for it to come out easy?
And.. I also want to start wearing a thong because I wear spandex for volleyball and yoga pants and such and you can see my underwear! So how can I ask my mom if I can wear a thong? Thanks a bunch(: xxx

1) here are some instructions for ya! change it about every 6 hours http://www.girlslife.com/post/2009/06/23/007-Period-Advice.aspx  3) try to open a dialogue with her about your feelings. Explain your side to her in a non-whiney, calm manner. Don't interrupt her or get angry even if she interrupts you or gets angry. That's unfair, but since she has all the power, it's in your best interest not to antagonize her. As in, you'll be more likely to get what you want if you act really, super mature. If she still says no, accept her decision gracefully. If she sees that you're not going to throw a fit for not getting your way, she'll be more likely to listen next time you want something. good luck!

so when I first got my period I had it for like 3-4 months really regular but I was only spotting. then I had it for 2 weeks really heavy the 2 weeks w/o then 2 week really heavy again. I haven't gotten my period for 6 months. do I need to see my doctor? (im not pregnant!!!!!!)
thanks Smile

Hey! the only way to really feel reassured is to talk to your doctor about all of these questions Smile To be honest, that's what we mods just have to tell you guys when you come to us with any health concerns. You may very well be fine, but since we're not doctors and we can't even see you face to face, it's not for us to tell you what's fine and what isn't. You know your body. Trust your instincts and talk to your doc!

Do you start getting yest infections after you get your 1st period or can you yest infections before you even started your very 1st period?

Hey girl, you can indeed get a yeast infection before you've started your period.  If you think you have one, talk to your parents and schedule a doctor's appointment.  This post has some great info about yeast infections and you can check out this one too: What's a Yeast Infection?

What's a yeast infection? Do you "feel" it when you get it?

Hey girlie! A yeast infection is an infection in the vag, and you definitely feel it when you get it. Common symptoms are itching, burning, soreness and pain during urinating. Hope this helps!
