Hey... So I know that I am over weight because i am 180lbs and I am 5'4" and i am 16.... I would really want to get fit and lose some fat that spread over my body, how can I keep up motivation for myself when nobody is willing to work out with me?? How what are some ways I keep myself from indulging in too many sweets?? Also, I want to start running but I hurt my ankle a few years ago and now when I run for more then 10 minutes I really hurts (and not just for a few minutes after it could hurt for the rest of the day....) I know it doesn't hurt when I'm on elliptically but I hardly have access to them... So basically final questions: Motivation? Getting exersice around ankle pains? And avoiding sweets? Thanks sooo much!!!!

Hey girl, you have to give yourself that motivation! The work outs I sometimes do are called befit90 on youtube. They're completely free and have different workouts everyday for 90 days, all you need is 20-30 minutes to work out each day. It's fun and totally worth it. Also, make sure you cut out soda, high fat foods and sugary foods from your diet. You should probably talk to someone about your ankle. Before you start working out you'll need to strengthen your ankle muscles so it doesn't bother you as much. -- Avoiding sweets is really hard, I have the same problem. You can give in to temptation once a day but you can't over indulge. Just try to set aside a small portion of something sugary a day, but limit it to that.

I'm 14 yrs old and 150 lbs. I am muscular (which is mostly genetic). My bra size is a 38C(also genetic). I'm 5'6" to 5'7" ish. Am I healthy? I eat a lot of fruits and veggies too(my mom is a nurse and makes spinach smoothies everyday).Early in the school year is made the basketball team, but that season ended and I have seen weight start to come back. There are no other sports teams at my school that I could try out for, and I want to know what I can do to stay healthy. I have PE every day, but it is not very physically demanding. Thanks!

Hey girlie,

I don't know what a healthy weight for your specific body is, but you can talk to a doctor about an eating and exercise plan that's right for you and what your goal weight or size should be, because I don't want to tell you the wrong thing! If you play sports and are eating plenty of fruits and veggies, it sounds like you're already living a healthy lifestyle, which is great!

I am 5'2" and 86 pounds. I don't think I'm underweight because I'm like this naturally.Does my weight make it dangerous to work out? I want to be healthier and improve my endurance.Thank you!

Hey girl, your weight doesn't make it dangerous as long as you are eating 3 hearty meals a day!

I live by the advice to not only worry about cardio. While a lot of times that's what we want to do because we just want to burn lots of calories, you need to do strength training as well in order to get fit and healthy.

How can I lose major weight and fat in my calves and by the way I don't have a gym membership or ellipticals, and lose weight in my butt, inner thighs, thighs in general, stomach, and upper arms. Thank you soooooooo much!

My favorite way to work out is to go on my trampoline. I practice front walkovers, front-handsprings, and drop sits. Although its a little bit dangerous, especially if you don't have a net, its a great way to get a really great workout in while still having tons of fun. It's a more fun version of jumprope!

I have a small amount of belly fat (only really noticeable when I bend over) that I would like to get rid of. I have started a routine where I do 45 minutes of cardio (swimming, running/walking, workout video) 5-6 times a week and 15 minutes of ab exercises every day (before I wasn't doing any toning, only swimming 2-3 times a week). Does this sound okay? What changes should I make in my diet to make things go faster? Thanks!

Hey RowanK, yep that sounds good. Start eating healthier foods, and you should be good to go. Xoxo Smile

So I'm going on spring break with family friends, and this is my friend whom I've known practically since we were born. Anyway, so she's so pretty, smart, funny, fit, athletic, nice to everyone, and she made her cheerleading squad at her school. I'm fat, ugly, sort of athletic, and I'm super jealous of her. She practically has all the guys drooling over her, and its not fair. I mean, I love her, she's my best friend, but I can't help but be jealous. How can I not be super jealous of her?

Hey Foodiejr99, look at all the good qualities you have. Make a list of all the things you like about yourself. This list can include anything, I mean anything. Even liking the way you make cereal could be jotted down. Have about ten things (or more if you'd like) and repeat this list back to youreself every morning starting with I LIKE THAT I _______ . Once you find things you like about yourself, you won't be quite as jealous. Hope this helps! Xoxo Smile
