With the Clean & Clear gel, (have it, works great!) if your blemish does not go away and you have been repeatedly putting it on the spot for a couple or a few days, i wouldn't keep putting it on. It is probably a zit looking blemish that does not actually contain any zit properties and cannot be popped or forcibly removed. Just thought i would say that because i have a lot of those strange little blemishes on my face (:
