Rekindle your camp crush in a pinch

Last summer, I met this guy at camp. We hung out the whole session and had a great time. We’ve e-mailed a few times, and he told...

There's a guy that lives in my neighborhood that I like. He's two grades above me, but I'm as mature as he is. One day, he randomly looked at me and said, "I was outside of your house last night." I must have looked weirded out because he proceeded to say, "I was skateboarding with someone" I just said that that was cool and got on my phone. Then, he said, "Don't you have a pool in your yard?" (When you're out in the front of my house, you can't see the pool because there are so many trees in my yard). I said yes and asked how he knew that, and he said that he remembered me telling him that a while ago. We've talked a few other times, and he, one other guy, and I have an inside joke that he mentions around me a lot. Our personalities are the same; we're both sarcastic and mature. How can I get to know him more? Does it sound like he is beginning to like me?

Hey girlie, it's too early to tell if he likes you, but he's at least interested in being your friend and getting to know you better. So keep talking to him! See if you can get his number so you can spend more time with him.

So I found out that me and my BGF like each other. I'd really like to go out with him next year during our freshmen year of high school, but I'm scared if we go out, our friendship will be ruined. We really like each other and would like to date each other, but I'm worried everything will be awkward. What should I do? Thanks a lot!

Hey girlie, dating a close friend is always a risk. But it'll probably be worth it. If you don't date then you're both going to be unhappy because you're always going to want more. There's a chance that you won't be able to back to being friends if things don't work out. But a strong friendship can probably recover from it.
