That last question got posted before I was done. I was trying to say, I took the red cross babysitting course online, but it stopped working before I could get the final exam, so I'm not certified. Do I actually need to be certified, or should I try and figure out how to resume it?

I'm 12 and about to start babysitting, and I have a couple questions:
1. About how much should I charge?
2. Who should I give business cards to? I don't have any siblings, so I can't give business cards out to younger siblings' friends. Also, we have a family friend who has a 6 and a nine year old, but we know them really well, and I can't really ask them. I'm not supposed to put my info up in public places, and I'm not sure what to do!
3. I've been taking the online red cross class

 

Hey girl!  I would recommend that instead of setting a rate beforehand, you simply accept whatever the parents decide to give you. Most parents are very generous, and will pay more than what you would normally charge. Give business cards to neighbors whom you know have young children- try putting them in mailboxes!
