How long does a period last when you get it?

Ok, so, I'm getting baptized this Sunday and it's going to be a full body submersion. The problem is I think I may be on my period by Sunday. I've been told to wear a dark shirt and a pair of shorts with a bathing suit underneath for afterwards but how do i control what happens in the water? I'm definitely not comfortable with wearing a tampon but I can't do a pad in the water. What should I do??? PLEASE HELP
Hey Emmazingurl, periods do stop in the water so you should be okay. But if you're really worried, wearing a small pantyliner (which is just a super mini version of a pad, so light you forget you're wearing one) will help. That way if you are bleeding, it won't go through your clothes. Hope this helps! Xoxo

So for the last few days, this same kind of thing has been happening to me. My period isn't due for another week. I have never had spotting before. Is this spotting or, like the article says, a warning of my period? My periods have also been light enough that I'm able to use just liners.
In your first years of having your period, everything can be really irregular, from spotting to timing, etc, so it's all about noting what's normal for you, because everyone is different. Hope this helps! xx

I was wondering if there's a way to make your period go away faster. my gym teacher said it goes away faster when you excercise but my mom says thats not true. if you are more active does your period last for less time? thanks!
Hey girl! Some girls who are more active have lighter periods, but it totally depends on the girl. Talk to you doc and make sure your cycle is normal for you!
