My BFF's dating my cousin

One of my best friends is going out with my cousin. He’s like her tenth boyfriend in the last six months—most of her relationships last about a week before she ends them with a text. My cousin is a good guy, and I’m afraid she’ll just throw him away like the others. I tried to talk to him, but he won’t listen to me. He says that she’s really nice, pretty and has a great personality. She says she’s in love and would never hurt him. Still, I can’t trust her and am scared. Is there anything I can do to protect my cousin?

Dear Cousin Concerns,
Not really. You think highly of both your friend and your cousin, and now they’ve found each other. That’s good news, not bad news. Besides, you’ve already expressed your misgivings to each of them. So it’s time to back off.

If things go well, great! If not, everyone will recover. But if your friend were the one writing me for advice, I’d tell her to slow down with the “L” word and get to know guys before dating and discarding them. When it comes to relationships, it’s quality not quantity that counts.
