CRUSHES

Advice

"It's not you, it's me." What does that even mean?

I just asked out my crush. He said that I'm pretty, sweet, and he likes me, but it's not me, it's him. He says that he doesn't want to be in a relationship right now. Is he telling it like it is or is he just using a cheesy rejection line?

Hey girlie! That’s pretty rough. No one can know if he’s telling the truth or not, but it doesn’t really matter. You don’t need to try to read his mind. It stinks that he doesn’t want to be with you, but at least he complimented you. Look on the bright side: he didn’t say yes and let you waste your time liking him. This is a good thing. Move on and find a guy who likes you more than you like him, someone who will treat you with all the respect and love you deserve. Good luck!
