Why is my crush avoiding me?


I like this guy and he knows, but he's avoiding me. I'm afraid that if I go up to him and try to talk to him, he'll walk away. Help!


His Answer: Tim, 16, told us: “If a guy likes you he will let you know and if he doesn’t he may just be worried how you will react when he lets you know, avoiding you may just be his way of being nice.”


Decoded: As hard as it is to hear, he may just not be interested in you. After elementary school avoiding girls you like is pretty lame for guys, so chances are he is avoiding you for another reason. Letting you know that he doesn’t feel the same way probably freaks him out because he doesn’t want to be the one to hurt you.


Your Move: Honestly, it is kind of hard to have a relationship with a guy who won’t even talk to you. If you need closure before moving on approach him one day and ask him straight out if he is into you or not. If his answer is no, don’t get upset, respect him for his honesty and move on to a guy who can really appreciate how great you are!
