My BGF and I are dating--but it still feels like we're just friends

I just got my first boyfriend. He and I have been friends for about two years. I was really excited, but now it seems like we haven't changed at all, as if we're still only friends. I want to find a way to make a change, but I don't know how. What should I do?
Hey girl! Congrats on taking BGF status to the next level. But as you now know, relationships are about way more than labels. First of all, it’s important to realize that friendship is actually a big part of romance. Be thankful that you and your guy have a great foundation built by years of being just friends. You two already know a ton about each other, and your closeness is the perf way to kick-start a romance. But you’ve been looking for something more, and your new BF probably is, too.
Your no-fail solution is to get him alone. Hanging with a crowd is fun, but some good old one-on-one time is sure to send a romantic message. Suggest hitting the park or a having quiet movie night at your place. Once it’s just you two, make sure your hangout has the vibe of a date, not of a friendly hangout. Think: holding his hands on your walk or snuggling next to him during the movie. Cute!
Most importantly, tell him how you feel. Letting your BF know how much you’re crushing on him is super sweet and will always flip the mood from friendly to flirty. Whenever your together time starts to slip into bestie mode, look your guy in the eyes and speak your mind.
