Double date without a date

My friend just got a boyfriend and will be going with him to a "girls ask guys" dance. She wants me to double date with her, but there’s one problem: I don’t have a date.

I’m pretty afraid of rejection and don’t want to re-live past experiences. But I don’t wanna let down my friend, so what do I do?

Hey there, girl. Asking guys out can be way intimidating, no doubt about it. But, with a couple pointers and a dose of confidence, I'm sure you can find the perfect date to the dance.

First off, who do you want to go with? While you may daydream about the gorgeous quarterback, you're most likely to snag a date with a guy you know. Pick someone who you know you'll have a good time with. Ask your BGF or a guy pal from class.
Chances are, you'll get that "yes" you're hoping for, plus, you're sure to have a good time hanging with him. Is he friends with your bestie and her BF? Even better. So long, one-on-one awkwardness!
How you ask your date makes a big difference. Think about it: Are you more likely to say yes to a guy who's friendly and confident or a guy who's nervous and super shy?
Asking him will def be nerve racking, but remember, guys do it all the time. There's no reason you can't score the perfect date, too. Just relax. Take a deep breath and flash him your sweetest smile. If you're confident, friendly and inviting, he'll probably be glad that you asked him and want to go with you.
If he does say no, don't take it personally. He may have other plans that night or be going with someone else. Don't see it as rejection; it's his loss.
It's also an opportunity to go with someone else who you'll have a better time with. Don't let one "no" dampen your spirits. Stay confident and don't worry! A cute girl like you will find a great date :)
