The Dirt: Are you reading too much into his signals?
I was
waiting after school and this guy from my orchestra came up to me and kept
saying, "Man, I need a girlfriend." Does this mean he likes me? Or is he just
so desperate that he needs to complain to someone?
His Answer: “It really depends on the guy’s
personality. If the boy is known as a complainer, then he’s probably just
living up to his reputation. If he’s known for being more direct, then he may

Decoded: What is this guy usually like? Because
it sounds like this guy could be hinting at something else, like that you could
fill the GF role, or maybe he’s just venting because he’s just a little bit
desperate.
Your Move: I, personally, don’t think this guy is
giving you much to go on. If he really wants to ask you out—or wants you to ask
him out—he will be really obvious about it. Look to see if he is flirting and
check out his body language to get a better idea of what he’s thinking.
