7 movies that will cure your "Idk, what do you want to watch?" blues

Sometimes, picking a movie for date night in is *the* most difficult thing. And when you and bae get stuck in "Idk, what do you wanna watch" purgatory, there's no telling just how long it will last. So, we've saved you the trouble and selected seven flicks that will get you out of your cinema struggle, stat.

1. The Princess Bride

Genre: Adventure, family, fantasy 
Cast: Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright
Even the pickiest movie critic can find something to love in this enchanting classic. Storybook fairytales meet action-packed adventure as you follow Inigo Montoya and crew on their quest to save Princess Buttercup. If you haven't already seen it (OK, seriously, what's wrong with you???), you'll fall in love with it in the first 5 minutes.

2. Forrest Gump

Genre: Comedy, drama, romance
Cast: Tom Hanks, Robin Wright 
This feel-good movie follows slow-witted Forrest Gump (played by Hollywood all star Tom Hanks) and his journey as an athlete, son and friend. It's a classic—need we say more?

3. Midnight in Paris

Genre: Comedy, romance, fantasy 
Cast: Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams
In this Woody Allen flick, a man on vacation in Paris finds himself time travelling back to the 1920s every night at midnight. Paris + romance + your sweetie = perf date film.

4. The Imitation Game

Genre: Biography, drama, thriller
Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley
Benedict Cumberbatch plays Alan Turing, an IRL mathematician post-WWII and his pursuit to crack the enigma code. Who wouldn't want to stare at Benedict's face for an hour and a half???

5. Queen of Katwe

Genre: Biography, drama
Cast: Madina Nalwanga, David Oyelowo, Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong'o 
Travel to Uganda and follow the life of a young girl whose life is transformed after learning to play a classic board game. It's a touching movie that'll really make you think, and a great one to watch with someone you like.

6. Sing Street

Genre: Comedy, drama 
Cast: Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, Aidan Gillen, Maria Doyle Kennedy
From the director of Begin Again, this romantic comedy tells the story of an Irish schoolboy who, in midst of family turmoil, channels his feelings into music and starts a band in hopes of attracting his crush. Ugh, what we wouldn't do for *our* crushes...

7. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Genre: Action, fantasy, adventure
Cast: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley
Sail the seas with drunken pirate Jack Sparrow and follow the epic love story of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom!) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley!). Watch it before Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters this Friday.
