This amazing recipe takes milk and cookies to a new level

Tired of the same old milk and cookies? Well, then here’s a new recipe that will make your head spin. Instead of dipping your cookies in milk, why don’t you just put the milk in the cookie? This awesome recipe makes it possible to drink your milk from a cup made entirely of a chocolate chip cookie. Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?!

What you’ll need:

For the cookies:

1 cup shortening (you can substitute butter if you prefer)

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup light-brown sugar

1 large egg yolk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup mini chocolate chips

For the cups:

1 cup dark or milk chocolate candy melts

1 1/2 cups milk

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2) Grease the popover pan molds. If you don’t have one, they’re available at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20 here.

3) In a large bowl, mix the shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer. Next, add the vanilla extract and egg yolk and blend until everything is fully incorporated.

4) Slowly mix flour and salt into the mixture. Once everything is fully incorporated, add the chocolate chips and mix until everything is evenly distributed. At this point, your dough will be crumbly.

5) Line the popover pan molds with dough, so they form miniature cups, making sure there is enough room for milk later on. The dough should be about ¼ inch thick at this point.

6) Pop the entire pan in the fridge for 20-30 minutes to let the dough chill. Then, bake your cookie molds at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

7) Let your cookies cool at room temperature once they are done baking for at least one hour.

8) Melt the chocolate candy melts. Pour the melted chocolate into each cookie mold completely up to the top so that the entire inside is coated with chocolate. Let the melted chocolate sit in the molds for about one minute, then pour the excess chocolate back into the bowl. Chill the cookie cups until the chocolate has hardened.

9) Mix the vanilla extract with milk ad pour into each cookie cup, or you can use plain milk if you prefer.

This amazing recipe puts a creative spin on the classic milk and cookies. This recipe makes about 12 cookie cups, so serve them to your guests or keep them all for yourself!
