Super easy hacks to a cleaner closet

Is your closet more cluttered than clean? Having a well-organized closet makes you feel more put-together and relaxed, not to mention, makes getting ready in the morning *so* much easier. If you're struggling to wrangle your wardrobe, we've got you covered. Here are five easy hacks to the closet of your dreams that you can do instantly:

Stash what's out-of-season.

Store away coats and sweaters in the summer (or tanks and sundresses in the winter). Putting the clothes you aren't wearing currently somewhere else will free up a lot of rack space for the ones you are. Try packing away your out-of-season gear in bins under your bed or on a top shelf in your closet. Out of sight, out of mind.

Hang it upnow.

We get it, sometimes you're in a rush trying to get to school so you just throw your discarded outfit ideas on the floor of your closet and run out the door, promising you'll clean it up that evening. That's how things pile up, though and become a huge mess. Instead, make yourself hang up clothes right away. It takes almost the same amount of time as tossing it on the floor and will save you a lot of hassle in the future.

Coordinate, coordinate, coordinate.

Choose matching hangers so all of your dresses and tops hang flawlessly in order, or stack same-sized storage bins for your accessories. "Matchy-matchy" is usually a bad thing, but not when it comes to your closet. The more uniform everything is, the easier it is to keep clean and it looks better. Win-win.

Organize shorts and pants with shower rings.

Instead of keeping your pants in a messy pile on the floor or shoved in a drawer, why not hang them with cheap shower rings? Say goodbye to wrinkles and hello to a pretty display.

Come up with a system and stick to it.

Whether it's organizing your clothes by type (skirts with skirts, cardigans with cardigans, etc.) or by color, have a clear system in place. Then, make sure you maintain it when you're putting away laundry or cleaning up. Adding separators in between clothing sections is a cute way to keep your wardrobe in order. Another pro tip: place things you use often at eye-level and the things you use less frequently (like special occasion accessories) higher up and out of the way.
