5 totally chic holiday stress-busters

It happens every year: The holidays are supposed to be a fun, easy, happy time, but every year, it seems we’re pulling our hair out over the stress the season brings. Luckily, we’re providing you with fun and totally fab ways to get your nerves under control.

1. Paint yourself red

Red is proven to boost your mood—why not deck your nails in it? Even if you’re not a red-nail kinda gal, trust us, short, holiday-red nails will have you dazzled. Tip: paint it on your toes, too, to make you feel more polished.

2. Soothe your senses

No, it doesn’t have to be a cinnamon-scented pinecone, but yes, aromatherapy works. Take a few minutes to breathe deeply and take a whiff of something lavender, mint or chamomile to calm yourself down instantly.

3. Eat well

Let yourself have small servings of whatever you like—just keep your portion size in check. Before big bashes, snack on healthy, fiber-full foods like apples, popcorn or pretzels so you don’t go overboard at the buffet. The holidays are a great time to eat mainly vegetarian, too. You’ll ensure your bod gets tonsa nutrients, while staying away from all the extra fat.

4. Get rosy

Sometimes a girl just needs pick-me-up. Beauty minis are perf for all the travel—and for a quick hit of color. Plus, they’re super cute. We’re sweet on this petite version of Posietint, which is flattering on everyone.

5. Glam up your fitness

Celebs sometimes do CRAZY things to lose weight—so not cool. But there are a lot of celeb-endorsed fitness regimes that we totally love. The bod-sculpting Bar Method is one of them. Load up your suitcase with exercise DVDs and then play one on your laptop when you need a break from the madness.
