7 cute ways to show your school spirit

It’s National School Spirit Day! Celebrate by breaking out the hues that represent your hallowed halls and cheering on all your fave teams and clubs.

Jolly Jewelry
Grab a few of your besties and throw a jewelry-making party. Get some elastic thread and beads in your school colors and make tonsa necklaces and bracelets to wear to school and to football games.

Rah Rah Ribbons
Bring out your inner cheerleader and decorate ribbons with glitter and sayings like “Go Cardinals!” and put them in your hair as a headband or hair tie, wear them as bracelets, or tie ‘em onto your backpacks. Add cute flowers or football decals for even more of a wow-factor.

Lively Lockers
Deck out your locker with school spirit! Put colorful paper on your locker with pictures of your school mascot, jersey numbers of your favorite football players or streamers and ribbons. Hang up a calendar with the dates of big games, school dances and spirit week circled so every time you head to your locker to pick up books for your next class you’ll be reminded of fun events to look forward to!

Adorable Accessories
Accessorize your wardrobe in school colors. Wear socks, scarves, shoes, or gloves in your school colors. Find cute eye shadow in the right hue and add Ke$ha-inspired glitter around your eyes for an extra pizzazz.

Colorful Clothes
Decorate clothes to show your spirit. Tie dye a shirt, socks, or sweatpants with your team’s colors. Get out your fabric paint and deck out a shirt with “I love #18!” or “LHS is the best!” or lyrics to your school’s fight song. Write a fun message on a pair of sneakers or a hat and encourage your friends to do the same. Going to a football game with your besties? Spell out a message with your shirts so it reads “Touchdown!”

Stylin’ School Supplies
Are your school colors green and orange? Get green folders and orange notebooks and pick up a pack of markers or pens in the same hues.

Game-Day Goodies
At a game, bring fabric paint and temp tattoos with the school mascot or sayings like “Rah! Rah!” and decorate your friends’ shirts and arms. A sweet note? Decorate cupcakes or cookies with mascots and colorful icings and pass them out at school lunches or football games to give everyone a yummy treat and a boost of spirit.
