The dos & don'ts of holiday shopping for your BFFs

Ahh, the holiday season. There is nothing quite like the hot cocoa, snowflakes and extreme stress of picking the perf prezzies for your crew! Here at GL we get that the holidays are tonsa fun but also kinda cray when it comes to shopping. Your girlies are your sisters and you’ll want to buy ‘em gifts they’ll cherish forever, but before you hit the mall, read up on our dos and don’ts of holiday shopping for your besties…

Do: Think from the heart

Really put in the time thinking about what this girl would appreciate. If you’ve know she’s obsessed with 1D buy her their new “Our Moment” perfume, or if she’s all about novels pick her up a copy of the ever-hot Divergent series. Either way, no one knows your BFF better than you—your gift should show her that!

Don’t: Slap down all your cash thinking the more $$ the better

The more money doesn’t necessarily mean the merrier! Don’t get caught up thinking that simply because a product has a sky high price tag it’s suddenly ten times cooler than everything else in the world. It’s probably not. Look for adorable gifts within your budget and don’t over spend. With a true friend it should never be about the cash.

Do: Make a sweet card

Sure, store-bought gifts are great but nothing (and we mean nothing) says “you rock, girlie” like a lovely hand written card. Take the time to scrawl out a super sweet message for your babe letting her know why you’re thankful to have her in your crew. Hearts will melt!

Don’t: Forget to wrap it up really cute

You definitely don’t wanna wreck the presentation of your present by throwing it in an old paper bag and giving it to your girl. Pick out a cute wrapping paper and add a little ribbon to give your gift the luxe look.

Do: Have a blast

Shopping for your best friend isn’t meant to give you a heart attack, so don’t take it too seriously! Have fun scouring the shops for a perfect present and be sure to choose something you’ll love giving her as much as she’ll love getting.
